cross-eyed Iowa primitive explains how

Oh man.

Skins's island is a mess today, what with (a) all the primitives running around wiggle-waggling their armpits at each other in vexation over the suspension of some obscure television celebrity and (b) the sparkling husband primitive jibber-jabbering about one thing or another.

That's all Skins's island is today; (a) and (b).

I was about ready to leave, the boat empty, when I ran across the cross-eyed Iowa primitive.

And so I managed to bring at least something back.

THE CROSS-EYED IOWA PRIMITIVE, A "BAD" ONE
Original message

Gridlock: This is how the Rethuglicans will be defeated in 2012.

All of the Republican gains this year will be wiped out in 2012, if (as expected) the Republicans at the House decides to act like assholes (as expected) and pass irrelevant legislation that creates the gridlock. All the Democrats has to do is utilize the TV talk shows, run ads (constantly) reminding the Americans why the Republicans are bad for them. Especially with the 99ers. EFCA. DADT.

All those will be stuck in the middle of the gridlock and as a result, the Americans will be completely pissed off at the Thugs, and the 'enthusiasm gap' will once again be there for the Thugs. It is important to get the Progressives in the conservative districts so the people do have a choice - left or right. Let's prove Harry S right and watch the massive wins for the Democratic Party to begin rolling in.

Unfortunately, because of (a) and (b) above, this campfire's a lonely one, no primitives at it.

Way back in the day, before I finally got my shit together for good, I used to spend an inordinate amount of time in bars, listening to the most brilliant men pontificating on all that was wrong with the world, and how thoroughly effective they'd be, if only given the chance.

Of course, they were blithering idiots, to a man.

Sometimes, as it is here with the cross-eyed Iowa primitive here, I remember those poor souls.

They are likely to go along with an expected House GOP measure that would cut the budget of the House itself. The chamber's costs are now more than $1.4 billion a year. The transportation committee, for instance, which doles out federal money for local highway and mass-transit projects, has 75 members - almost one of every five lawmakers in the House.

House GOP aides said the first major bill to be considered when the new Congress convenes in January will be one that would cut federal agency spending by $100 billion, reducing the overall cost of running the government to 2008 levels.

In a memo to GOP members promoting his candidacy for majority leader, Rep. Eric Cantor (Va.), who is No. 2 in the GOP House leadership, called for weekly votes on spending cuts and proposed that House Republicans allow only one day each month for voting on inconsequential issues such as renaming post offices and other federal buildings.

In his memo, Cantor also said he would seek to continue the moratorium on earmarks that House Republicans established in March.

One provision Republicans want to scrap immediately seeks to raise revenue by requiring small businesses to report transactions valued at more than $600. Companies have complained about the mountain of paperwork.

Yep, total gridlock.  It's a madhouse waiting to happen.

Stuff a sock in it, birdie.

Yeah.

The cross-eyed Iowa primitive's a big talker, all right.

The cross-eyed Iowa primitive likes to give the impression he's a "bad" one, someone that one doesn't want to mess with, a really mean tough guy, because he spent some months in the Iowa state penitentiary, for some rubber checks or something.

The cross-eyed Iowa primitive's about 40 years old, and his weight about 8 times that.

Married, working wife.

Then the cross-eyed Iowa primitive switches to his "nice" side, where he's always allegedly the first one to step up to the plate with a donation to some Dem or Dem cause; to hear him talk, he's more lavish bestowing his money than George Soros.

The cross-eyed Iowa primitive gets social security "disability" for "depression;" he's self-admittedly never worked for anybody but his father, and apparently still does.....although with that social security gravy, his paycheck has to be passed under the table.

The cross-eyed Iowa primitive's a blowhard, all right.

He's also into pyramid selling schemes.

When the GOP didn't bow down to Obama they were called the party of NO so will the dems be the party of NO when they obstruct everything the people we put in congress try to do?

The difference is we put these folks in congress to do these things no one put the dems in power to do what they did the past 2 years or even the past 4. The only way the dems got away with the first 2 was Bush was still in office so he was to blame.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.
