Democratic Underground - the last bastion of sanity and truth
 In a world where most of the news is controlled by people that spread lies to keep us in endless wars, at least we can still find some truth at Democratic Underground. If all Americans knew what the readers here know, a Republican couldn't win an election for dog-catcher.

We know that Big Business totally controls not only most news media but also the Republican Party.

We haven't forgotten that eight years of Republican leadership got us into two deadly, expensive wars.

We haven't forgotten that Republicans spent eight years exporting jobs to China and that's why we have such a high unemployment rate.

We realize that you can't have a balanced budget when you spend trillions on defense and don't tax billionaires at all.

We haven't forgotten that the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution was destroyed under Republican rule.

I want to thank the moderators for keeping disruptors from destroying this site and the writers here for educating me, while keeping me informed.
