subway cat scared of her birthday

Oh my.

By the way, the subway cat's in her mid-40s now.

That's not her waistline, but her chronological age.

Be sure to notice the subway cat's announcing she's going back to that big building with small rooms and soft walls, which is probably a good idea.

Hey all

I have not been doing much, the depression is bad,and since I got banned from the program and my therapist was so oblivious to real safety issues and not helping me,she just gave me new age crap for answers. So,I got another counselor. She is really concerned, she says in my county there are no really good trauma specialists. By gauging my symptoms she thinks I need to :#1 a therapist that knows what they are doing,#2.Get more intensive therapy at least 2 times a week, and something during the day.So She is suggesting I go inpatient.

I told her I'd do it.. after I get some things done on the first. Most important is no matter how shitty I feel I got to vote.Secondly I gotta clean my snake's cage,Lastly I gotta prepare. I see her Tuesday coming up.My birthday is a bad trigger day,and I'm kinda scared about it.

Been so unmotivated, didn't make a costume this year. I am so tired yet I can't sleep until it is day. I haven't felt the desire to write much so I'm lurkin when I'm on here mostly. My roommates are concerned and they say I'm not like I was before all this shit happened.

It was a shocker for me concerning the differences between a therapist that knows what they are doing regarding trauma VS my old therapist who THINKS she knows what she's doing regarding trauma.

I hope I can get real help. I've needed help for decades. In all the time in therapy I realized with this counselor,I had the WRONG kind of help or incompatible or counselors/therapists/doctors that don't know how to help me.

What really sucks is I can't keep this therapist I like,if I want to have my medication management done by a psychiatrist. The few counseling centers out here that accept MA have an idiotic rule that says to get meds done by a psychiatrist,I have to see one of the centers therapists too.

1. Is there some way you could work out a deal with this therapist that you get to check in with her until you are settled in with a new therapist and not just cut it cold turkey when you get the appointment? Even a ten minute phone call? I know it would really help me out if I felt like I could at least tag up on the way to something unknown and untried.

It is shocking once you finally get to see someone who knows what the hell they're doing, isn't it?

2. I've got just this and this advice might not be worth much as each clinic is
probably different...

As an in-patient I really missed shoes.

There was a LOT of time with nothing to do but sit and watch crappy TV or walk the halls. Walking in safety-socks was hard for the old feet to do for very long.

If they'll let you have shoe-like slippers, sandals etc., I recommend you take a pair.

Now, why can't the subway cat take a pair of shoes with her?

Do they take away underwear too, in nuthouses?

Ewwww.

This is the Subway cat's underwear we're talking about.  I don't want to even think what that would be like.  Does it even wear any?  Will they let it use a litter box in the nut house.

Anyhow any therapist who doesn't tell someone they are not a male panther in a female human's body sucks.

I'm certain that there's a Geneva Convention against the Grotto Gato's underwear being used as a weapon. :o :P

I would have thought it scared of mirrors.

BTW, I have had to use my wife's high heels as weapon once....well twice and then the guy stumbled off with two 1/4 diameter holes in his forehead.

Yeah, that's the problem with the subway cat.

Work is the best cure, the best therapy, for depression.

If the subway cat worked in a job rather than subsisting on the involuntary kindness of the taxpayers, she wouldn't be so messed up.

But no, it's easier to do drugs to deal with her depression.

I'm right with you on that.

Over the years, others have asked me what sort of work the subway cat could possibly do, being that she's (now) in her mid-40s, really fat, has tattoos and other decorations all over herself, and enjoys a really weird taste in fashion (don't ask to see her web-site; it'll make your hair turn grey)--not to mention she's absent part of herself, from a sex-change operation (to go from female to male) that got only halfway done before welfare said "no more."

She apparently isn't educated, or trained in anything.

Well, here in Nebraska, in the larger cities (Omaha and Lincoln), we have these groups of people, transported around in open-ended trucks, wearing orange vests, who go up-and-down the sidewalks of the city, emptying the trash and picking up litter.

That would be a good job for the subway cat, and cure her problems.

A paycheck cures a lot of problems.

The subway cat knows she's a femme, and has known that since birth.

As Sigmund Freud would say, the subway cat has a subconscious motive here.

It's a common characteristic of primitives--much more than just the subway cat--to try to attain "self worth" by coercing others to care for them, to care about them.  Their egos are such that it has to cost the other person, or persons, a great deal of time, money, hopes, and effort, draining them, sucking them dry, to prove they "care."

The now-gone Ladysquawk primitive was a classic example of this, with her long-suffering mother.

That's the way many primitives define themselves--by how much they cost (money, time, effort) other people.

A sex-change operation is a very long and expensive process, and if one is on welfare, it can cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.  For the subway cat, that was a perfect set-up, to give the taxpayers a chance to prove that they "cared" about her.

Unfortunately, the job got only halfway done when the taxpayers ran out of money.
