My daughter was just asked for id before she was allowed to vote

is this legal? I argued with about 5 of the workers there about it. she went back to the car and got her driver's license and showed it to them. they took a long time looking at it. i told them they weren't allowed to ask for id and they all insisted that this is how they always did it. i asked who told them to do it that way. the gal i was talking to said she "the election judge". i asked if that person was here. she said no. i asked who told her specifically to ask for id. she said that's how they always have done it and how else will someone prove who they say they are. i was furious!

they are asking everyone for id.

Oh good lord this moron argued when all her daughter had to do was run to the car and get her ID.

They screech about fraud and cheating yet when anyone does anything to help prevent it they argue with the poll workers. This DUmmy is lucky she wasn't escorted out by the police for making a scene.

80. If you're registered to vote, that shouldn't be happening ....

Yeah because no one would ever think of using another person's name and voting for them.

Off topic: Hey what happened to all the smilies anyway?

130. So homeless in CT can't vote?

then you've got 18 year old kids who are living at home, who don't have a driver's license yet and who aren't going to school. they have no way to prove they are who they say they are. they still have the right to vote.

Ever hear of the state ID? it looks almost like a Drivers license only you can't drive with it.

What scares me is these morons vote.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I bet the screeching DUchebag moonbat made a couple of the indecisive people in that precinct vote R.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Why is it I never see these moonbats?
Everyone at my polling place was polite and quiet.
Not one person fussed when they asked for an ID.

You need freaking ID to write a check, a photo ID should be mandatory for everyone to vote.

GREAT GOD ALMIGHTY!

Is there ANYTHING these ****ing MORONS won't bitch about!

NEWSFLASH, DUmmie ****ING IDIOT!

I vote in Virginia.  I have voted in every election in Virginia, one a year, since 1977.

I first showed my photo ID back in 1977!

I showed it again today, in 2010.

I'll show it again next year, too!

WHAT THE HELL IS THE PROBLEM WITH POLL WORKERS CHECKING TO SEE IF YOU ARE YOU WHEN YOU VOTE?

Here's a suggestion for the DUmmie.  GO TO HELL!  GO STRAIGHT TO HELL!   >:(

Here in VA as well. I had the choice of either showing my ID or signing an affidavit saying I was who I was. Had no problem casting my vote for Scott Rigell.

According to what I've seen, Rigell is over Nye 50%-47%, but Virginia Beach hasn't checked in yet.

I had to show MY ID when I went to vote tonight. I had to do so in MN, too, even though they don't require it. (Someone can actually "vouch" for another up Nort in MN and be considered legit)  ::)

We had to show our DL's last week when we went to early voting too.

Plus, M had to fill out a change of address form, that was quite long and asked several questions about the change of address.

We both had gotten new DL's with our new address on them. We both filled out a form when I got my new license, for voter address change, but had not yet received the new cards. Mine was already changed in the registration rolls, but M's wasn't. We were both asked several questions as they seemed to be verifying our information.

I heard today on TV, that in NYC, one does not have to show a picture ID either.  :o

How can they be sure the person in front of them is who they say they are?

I didn't get asked for ID. But we only have like 300 registered voters max. The old people working the polls know everybody by name.
