Conservative Cave Public Service Announcement

All Halloween candy is now 50% off. 

This concludes this public service announcement. :-)

I don't know what Pilsbury brownie mix usually goes for, but I just picked up two boxes at $1.80-something apiece because it came with a separate bag of "Halloween Sprinkles".  Yeah, brownies.

Oh hell.  No herb in my house, cept for the Rosemary, Basil and Chives.   :lmao:

I love a good brownie tho.  Toss a chocolate bar on top, when you pull it out of the oven, cover it with TIN FOIL, and in 15 minutes, you can spread it on top like icing!

When Easter was a week and a half over, we bought those delicious Reese's Peanut Butter cup eggs for 60 cents a pack!  I'll go through Target's stash on Saturday and then maybe brave Walmart on Sunday.

You know the recipe on the back of the box that says "add an extra egg if you want cake-like brownies"?  That's what my mom did. :mad:

They were okay when they were fresh, but they were dry, dry, dry.  I don't know what she had against regular fudge brownies but I guess they didn't serve those in New York.

They usually have more in the back too.  Target ordered way too much Easter candy.  They were still bringing it out of the backroom when the candy was knocked down to 90% off.

I wish I was a big peanut butter cup eater, but I'm not.  The Reese's are the last thing in the bottom of my candy bowl right now, aside from a couple of Tootsie Pops.

You should try the Reese's eggs.  Those are the best.  They taste way different from the cups.  And they are better refrigerated.

I bought 4 of those big huge bags of multi mix.

When I got them all emptied into the basket - I pulled out the Heath bars for me, the Reese's cups for M and the PayDays for T..... :-)

A friend of T's came by kind of late, with her kids to let them trick or treat at a few houses around ours. They had been out of town, and were late getting back and he told her there were still kids out and about here. I think they went to about 10 houses...and I gave them all of the rest of our candy. Otherwise, either I would eat it (  :thatsright: ) or it would still be here next Halloween!!

Nah.  It's just peanut butter & chocolate in the shape of an egg.  But for some reason, the chocolate & peanut butter tastes SO much better.
