I am stuck in work, anyone get a crowd estimate? I'd hate to see it bigger then becks :(

I'm watching on C-Span.  Very interesting.  They are showing almost no long shots of the crowd looking back.  All the shots are of the stage performers (lots of empty green grass behind the stage) or tight, angled shots of the crowd.   There appears to be a lot of empty grass on the sides.  

They have also placed big top tents right in the middle of the crowd to obscure the few partial long view shots that occur by accident.  

They have obviously learned some things about managing impressions since the last rally.

I'm watching it on Comedy Central, very tight shots indeed.  I'm quite bored, for a rally this opening band is putting me asleep.

I had to shut the rally off, the music was horrible, the mythbusters stunk, and the comedy was horrible.

You beat me to it. I was about to point that lil factoid out to our lurkers. It doesn't matter how big the crowd is because it's a real comedy show not a real political rally. This is no more reality than the Onion or it's news network stories are.

The DUmmies will never believe it though because it's geared specifically to their level of stupidity.

Interesting.

I just did a google image search for restore sanity rally crowd and in amongst the 15 pages of garbage I looked through I got back maybe a half dozen close up crowd shots along with a like amount of the 8/28 crowd shots.

None from the Washington Monument were taken today I guess????

Apparently the sponsors didn't want any aerial photographs taken, because turnout was less than they had boasted, and aerial photographs would show that.

Independent sources are alleging circa 100-150,000.
