32. joanne and gray warrior: I am delighted for both of you. Watching those lock up programs scare me to death. I don't know how we can allow this kind of thing to go on. Most will get out and hopefully, it won't be as worse people. Hugs to you both and your families.

4. Good luck to your family, Joanne98...

I was just watching a basketball game in the March Madness and one of the players, a young man about 20, wanted his father to be able to see him play but he had been in prison. He may get to see him play int he Final Four since Carolina won tonight.

23. What madness is that?

Our prison systems? The wacky war on drugs? Arresting folks for felonies? ???

22. Good luck, Joanne98

Give him all the love and support that you can -- as I know you will. Life on the outside can be difficult after incarceration, I know from experience with my ex-husband. Tell your son that he MUST mind his P's and Q's because they WILL be on him. Does he have much time on paper?

24. good point

sneeze wrong and they'll violate you and slap you back in for what used to be a year and is now 18 months. prison is a growth industry in this country these days. kinda like a cost plus contract.

27. They lock up your body, and if you're lucky and smart, you learn stuff. But they can never take away your real freedom. He will have some version of ptsd, be ready for that. It is a big adjustment to be out, even if it's been a short stint. Lots of love and rest and patience and encouragement. That which is well and strong in him can prevail.

I remember our brief conversations last year when I had a family member who was doing a short stint.
Thank you for your kindness, and I am so happy for you now!!!

There is a simple solution to avoid incarceration...

It is called abstinence from committing illegal acts.

I can't remember what it was--I've paid more attention to the Joanne98 primitive more as an apologist for the dictatorial Yugo Chavez, than as the mother of a wayward son, but if I recall correctly, her son was put in for some rather serious hardcore felonies.

But it wasn't his fault, you see.

Of course he's innocent I'm sure. No one ever goes to San Quentin for being guilty. *eyeroll*

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

IIRC He was FTA on felony PWITSD in Texas and was later picked up in another state again on another felony.

I'm sure we'll see some good stories from Joanne98 in the near future.

25 years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope.  Now we have Obama, no hope and no cash.

If memory serves: the derelict was arrested for felony possession of cocaine in TX and it was discovered he had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for a similar offense somewhere around AK or TN.

I'm surprised that more of the DUmbass's children are not in jail.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I believe the other state involved was Tennessee.

Actually, quite a few are.

Doug's ex-wife, for example, has a son who did some hard time, I think for hard drugs.

This was NOT her son by Doug's ex-wife's ex-husband; this is a son from a previous marriage of hers.

And yes, TVDOC, this is the same one, the letter-writing Joanne98 primitive.

I think in cases like that where someone has multiple warrants in Multiple states the state that has custody gets first crack at the person. Like say for instance a person has warrants in Oklahome, Tennessee and Arkansas but gets arrested In Texas. Texas gets to incarcerate him then when they release him whomever is waiting outside the gate to arrest him gets their turn. Now if there are federal warrants involved the dude will do the fed time then get handed over to the state.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

29. Man we got a lot of license plate pressing mofos around here.

That's because the Democrat Party is not only an insane asylum, it's also a criminal conspiracy.

That's the reason Hillary was trying to get voting rights for felons, because a good percentage of them are.
