Poll question: Is birthing children you KNOW you have no means to support child abuse ?

Personally , I think it is the most irresponsible thing anyone can do. Even the most selfish act possible. Yes , I am being unfairly judgmental, but bringing an unsuspecting child into a life YOU KNOW is going be filled with misery and want simplify to enjoy some temporary mammalian pleasures is unspeakably vile.

Poll result (47 votes)
Yes   (28 votes, 60%)
No    (15 votes, 32%)
Other   (4 votes, 9%)

Yes. Killing them in the womb is much less abusive.

And yet they support the same party/ideology that encourages welfare mommas to crank out as many progeny as possible in order to facilitate their future servitude to the "liberal ideal" and keep them barefoot and pregnant with just the most basic of existence.

It's taxpayer abuse. :fuelfire:
Not really fair to the kid either.
Of course, aborting the baby would be worse.  However, people who make a career of subsisting on the public dole need to be put to work doing simple chores like filing papers, picking up roadside trash, answering phones at city hall, what the heck ever, just give something back instead of take, take, take.

Didn't Gov. Ronald Reagan try that in California back in the 70's?

...and didn't the ACLU bring suit against the state claiming that making them work for the money was beneath their dignity? ...harmful to their self esteem?

Just think, this DUmmies program could be expanded.  Disabled, unable to enjoy a "fulfilling life" We'll just dismember you in the most cruel and monstrous way possible and define it as terminated.  Same for the elderly and anyone else not able to to have "fulfilling life", whatever the DUmmie version of that happens to be this week.

What do they mean "you don't have the means to support" and "lifetime of misery", DUmmies?  Situations can and do change.  I know DUmmies can't imagine such.

The ACLU makes it a habit to stick their uninformed legal noses in wherever someone is trying to do some good, so yeah, I'm guessing they did sue Gov. Reagan.
I was in Germany most of the '80's and being a typical young person didn't pay much heed to politics.  I wish I'd have gotten involved a long time before I did, but it took another decade for me to get there...

You are so lucky I don't do bitchslaps.  So a  :hi5: for being in Mannheim.  I was in Frankfurt and Stuttgart around those years.  Nine in Germany altogether, although four years were in the '90's.  My hubby spent four tours in Germany, 13 years altogether.  I'd go back in a heartbeat if it weren't for the grandson, pets and a mortgage.

You can thank me for making your  :hi5:count higher than your bitchslaps.  Cash is always acceptable. :-)

Following this line of thinking, since most of the DUmmies have no visible means of support, can we just euthanize them? Isn't it the same prinicple? It's just plain abusive to let them live when they're so miserable....

Have these people never heard of adoption? Why the hell wasn't that one of their choices? The only two options they could think of was kill it or raise it in abject poverty? Abortion is selfish. Keeping a baby you can't afford and can't possibly take care of is selfish. Thinking of someone other than yourself (i.e. a BABY who had nothing to do with you letting some guy stick a dick in you knowing that protection sometimes fails and mixing his worthless sperm with your egg) and giving your child a chance at a wonderful life as a cherished and WANTED child is an incredibly unselfish act. I really admire women (even young ones) who make this choice because I can't imagine anything harder than giving up a life that has lived close to your heart for 9 months.

When I was in high school one of my friends decided to have her baby instead of having an abortion. Her and her boyfriend were very much in love and she couldn't stand the thought of killing something they made. But she also chose to give it up since they were both still in school. She cried for weeks. Every day she'd say to me, "Cindie I wish I could find my baby". But she knew it was the right thing to do. She was 15 and it was an incredibly mature and loving choice. If a 15 year old can make that choice you'd think a DUmmie could have the same compassion. But selfish is as hard to fix as stupid I guess.

They are really getting all of their child abuse polls and questions out there. Jeez, this is like the 4th one or so.

It really bugs me that there are people who could even consider the minor things they are discussing as child abuse.  They could be out trying to make a difference for the children who really face abuse, but instead they are trying to include something as minor as an ear piercing (mine were done when I was four, no psychological damage has resulted) in under the description of abuse.  Are there not enough abused children out there that need help that they need to include non-abused children to make themselves feel better?

And on this particular topic, I agree 100% with delilahmused.  Abortion should not be the solutions, so if you cannot adequately care for your child, you should put them up for adoption.  There are so many families out there that would love to adopt, and newborns are the easiest type of child to get adopted, so that should be the option.  Keep the child or put them up for adoption.

First, how could one 'know?'

Second, the closest I can come up with 'know' is being having some DUchebag as a mother.  I think this is one of the strongest cases for abortion on demand.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Didn't Gov. Ronald Reagan try that in California back in the 70's?

...and didn't the ACLU bring suit against the state claiming that making them work for the money was beneath their dignity? ...harmful to their self esteem?

During the 1973 - 1974 recession, this program got seventy-six thousand people off the welfare rolls and put them into productive jobs. By tightening eligibility standards and eliminating loopholes, we turned a monthly increase in the welfare caseload of forty thousand to a monthly decrease of eight thousand.
