What Happened When I Yelled Back at the "Christians" Calling My Wife a Murderer

This guy is my new hero.

http://www.alternet.org/reproductivejustice/148607/what_happened_when_i_yelled_back_at_the_%22christians%22_calling_my_wife_a_murderer/

It is an interesting video.  It shows the man screaming at a couple of women who weren't even facing him as he walked up...they are standing, facing the street, one holds a picture of Jesus and the second a printed sign I couldn't read...but neither were yelling at anyone or holding pictures of aborted babies.

If the guy's story is true, I really feel for him and his wife.  It would be horrible to go through.  However, I don't see how that excuses him for screaming at 2 women quietly holding signs by the street, and then lying about what happened...

Well, we didn't see what happened when they walked into the clinic.

We do know what happened after he entered the clinic...

Of course, but I can see how this would upset him very much. This wasn't his wife getting an abortion because she didn't want this baby. They were already in a very sad state of mind. It just goes to show that you never know what someone else is going through.

Well, we didn't see what happened when they walked into the clinic.
We did, however, see those women standing quietly, not yelling at anyone, and without any pictures of aborted babies...in contrast to what he claims.   There were only 2 of them, and they were facing traffic when he wasn't yelling.  From his own video, I see nothing wrong with what the women did, but I can't say the same thing about him.  Given only what he himself taped and posted, he was the one causing trouble...

I could almost see confronting them in that situation, but I have to wonder if his story is true.  For one thing, the fact that he confronts them and records it, for another, I would not have been so polite to them if his story of his unborn child is true.

How many clinics did he have to go to before finding protesters to confront?

Are we sure there was even a clinic?  2 women, alone, with signs, facing traffic...there was nothing on the video to confirm anything he typed.  Nothing.

Ummm . . . what the HELL is going on here?

This is why I'm confused - first he says this:

. . .After extensive testing at a renowned Boston hospital three weeks earlier, we were told our baby had Sirenomelia. Otherwise known as Mermaid Syndrome, it’s a rare (one in every 100,000 pregnancies) congenital deformity in which the legs are fused together. Worse than that, our baby had no bladder or kidneys. Our doctors told us there was zero chance for survival. . .

and I thought "how weird, but how tragic" and that three weeks was a long time to wait, the abortion was at 16 weeks gestation, according to "the father". But then, this isn't his first reference to the mermaid thing:

. . .My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. Just kidding. My dad was the prostitute. But seriously, it's just my wife, MJ, and my son Will who turns 2 in April . . .

Christians aren't the only ones who are opposed to abortion. Many non-religious people are as well.

Anyway, I watched it again. There is just too much we don't know. Did they yell at his wife and him when they walked in? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe he was just so angry/upset he took it out on whoever he could. Maybe he lied. Maybe he didn't. They have the right to protest, and he has to right to gripe at them.

They didn't seem ugly or anything when he confonted them. But I am willing to cut him some slack if they just went through what he said they did.

Some things can't be tested until you are so far along in your pregnancy. Not sure if this is one of them.

He's full of it.  Completely full of it.  If they were was a problem and they were going to terminate the pregnancy, it could have beent taken care of at the hospital.  People have given birth to babies that weren't viable before, they celebrated their short life and mourned their death, I don't pass judgement here but I don't believe his claim.  Also, I don't know if this would have been obvious in the ultrasound.

I have a half second cousin that was born without a neo-cortex.  The doctor looking at the ultrasounds only thought that might be the case.  Just to furthe holes in this guys statement.
