Never heard of the original song or this band before but that was pretty good stuff. (High five worthy) Bit of a change of pace but here is a classic rock cover...

As I mentioned in the OP, Boss Hoss is new to me and as far as I can tell, are just a cover band. Still. I really do like their version of Hey Ya but this one is fun too.

The Boss Hoss - Word Up

There are bands that move you, speak to you or that you grew up with and became a part of you. Boss Hoss is none of those to me. They are just farking fun as heck.  :-)

Crow does Bob Dylan. To be fair though, almost everyone does Dylan better than Dylan.  :-) (except I don't like Sheryl's accustic version here as well as the album cover, but this was all I could find)

Sheryl Crow - Mississippi

For some reason everyone doing Dylan put this song in my head.

That was farking cool. Pretty true to the original yet they somehow make it their own. Never heard it before for sure but I have it saved now, lol.

This next one is a bit iffy because I don't know if it's a cover or not.  :thatsright:

I remember some hub bub about it when the song came out and I know the symphany part is from the Rolling Stones (at least I think I know that) but the song may very well be The Verve. Just don't know. (??)

Wow!  I just read the Wiki page about that song.  I remember when it happened because Rush ended up talking about it on his show but I didn't realize how complicated the issue was.  1997!  Wow, how time flies.

Fine. Make me look it up myself.  :whatever: :-)

Pretty cool stuff. Guess I can't call it a cover really. Cool history though. (to everyone else, look it up your damn selves, LOL)

To make up for my previous lack of research, here is an authintic cover. (of Dylan btw, heh heh)

Well, you know, I figured since you already mentioned you didn't know the history that if you really wanted to know the history, you would look it up.  :-)

They're an okay band.  Their "Land of Confusion" cover is decent.
