Song thread (covers edition)
« on: March 30, 2008, 11:31:36 AM »
Heard a good cover lately? Have an old favorite? Play it here.  :-)

I'd never even heard of The Boss Hoss before I got an e-mail from little brother. This cover is freakin' great. It's just so rare IMHO for the cover to surpass the original. This one does.

The Boss Hoss sings outcast's hey ya...  :cheersmate:

On edit:
Killer video too, lol. (they still make music videos???)

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Can be. I always thought Johnny Cash did a good job singing Hurt.

Or just semi-serious like Cake's version of I will survive.

All Along the Watchtower (Bob Dylan) was covered most famously by Jimi Hendrix, and pretty well by U2 but i've always liked the DMB version.
