Damn Zeus.   :-)

 :cheersmate:

Now that's how you take a theme and run with it. I didn't even know about that Roy Orbison version, good stuff. H5!
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

I was suprised Joan Jett did A cover of "Love Hurts" a good one to IMHO. Cher did a cover in the early 90's but like most her 90's work it sucked.

For whatever reason, Jett's was the first cover (I think) I ever heard of that song. At least the first I was aware of.

BTW... I'm stealing your cool idea of multiple covers of one song all together which was only here due to my cool idea of a song thread for covers anyway.  What the heck, the whole point of covers is using other peoples ideas anyway right?

Zeus raised the bar (again) with Kamakawiwo'ole.

I can't top that but I think I can at least match in the category of "making a song your own".  :-)
