Vagina Monologues?
« on: October 25, 2010, 10:46:12 AM »
Anyone ever hear of some stage play called "The Vagina Monologues"? Maybe I don't get out enough, but when did they teach those things how to talk?

It's been around for quite a few years. From what I've heard, it's rather disgusting.

I've heard of it, never had any desire to see it.  I gather it's mainly by and for women either feeling sorry for themselves or trying to at least, with an uneven mixture of vulgarity and touchy-feely BS.

On a lighter note, it gives a whole new meaning to "Talkin' outta your ass."

I've been aware of it for years. I just used it as the basis for a joke. From what I can gather, it's typical radical feminist bovine excrement, full of man-hating and such, and downright lesbian in nature.

Bow, give an old lady a break here, I am sure that the tales a penis could tell would be much more interesting.

One thing I have never understood about Lesbian sex is why the strap ons for any kind of sex that they could get from a male. Some how I think I am missing something here.

Then there is gay sex, heck why want to stick that thing in another butt, is this not the same as heterosexual sex just 2 inches apart.??  Another thing I am missing.

I have same sex friends that I love and adore, we hug on meeting and again on parting, if it came to us having to live together, no way.

Girls, remember as a kid when you had a best friend that became friends with another girl and spent more time with her then you.?  Kind of broke your heart. The time you spent together was now only in your memories.

Sorry Bow, I become confused when things go off the track.  I can understand bisexual sex for a one night stand, but I do not understand living a life with a same sex partner and all the problems it causes for both.

The original Vagina Monologues started out as a commentary by a woman for women, regarding sex, relationships and violence against women.

It became a play, that was very well received by many who have seen it. I have never seen the entire play, but have seen parts of it replayed on HBO, several years ago.

While it may address lesbian relationships, it was not specific to lesbians....it was more specific to all women, from entering "womanhood" through menopause and beyond. "Originally it was written to "celebrate the vagina" and femininity, but within a few years was used in the movement to stop violence against women."

Debk, I have no idea why one would celebrate a left pinkie toe from a right ear lobe.  My southern parts are just that to use as I wished as are my tits when I breast feed all 4 kids.

Sex is about control and birth right.

We speak of men that used sex as a weapon to cower females to their wishes.

Big deal, the woman who have some smarts and understand the male mind . check out the females in the Old Testament that brought a good man down to ruen.

As my hubby is a college instructor, I was "privileged" to end up stuck watching this "show" once.  I was completely unimpressed.  If I could have politely left, I would have.  It was :puke:

I prefer the play about people experiencing persistent chest pains.

The Angina Monologues.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

In the throws of passion, some have been known to shout out, "Speak to me, O' you toothless wonder.".... :-)

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Well, really, if it was for lesbians it'd be "The Vagina Dialogues."

Deb, you nailed it, as usual...

It was indeed a great idea for the women who may not have already understood that a real man respects them not only for that glorious orifice which lay between their legs, but that organ that rests between their ears, as well.

Unfortunately, the play has been co-opted by the far left (yeah, so what else is new, right?) and been distorted into some ridiculous repudiation of all-things-conservative, as though a "real conservative woman" doesn't already know how to assert herself in a relationship.

Sh*t, my old lady (a Goldwater Girl) takes me to town eight ways to Sunday, yet STILL knows just who the hell she is when someone makes the mistake of asking.

I've seen it. U of O plays it every year. The first year there was some feminist dust up that ended in tears. I think it was about some transgendered person wanting to be a part of it and not enough lesbians were involved or something. They worked it out with a dyke drum circle or something.

Now THAT'S funny. Reminds me of a girl I took out once. When I picked her up, her father took me aside and said, "You should know, my daughter has acute angina!" I replied, "Yeah, and nice legs too!"
