Awesome Korean Show... IRIS
« on: October 24, 2010, 10:57:02 PM »
I have to admit, I'm working near 24/7, yet lately I've been taking an hour off here and there to watch a Korean show (dubbed in English) called IRIS. If you liked the Bourne Identity movies, "24", and Asian love story lines (ala Romeo and Juliet) for the ladies. Not to mention that it has kick-ass eurasia-tech music! Currently, there are 20 hour-long episodes. The first episode starts a bit slow, but sets everything up, then everything becomes a thrill a minutes. I'm only on episode eight, yet I have to admit it's great. There is some corniness involved, but it works, believe me.

I came across the show from an army friend in Korea told me about it. It is their number one show, and it's so good I watched the two episodes I saw so far not dubbed in English, and still was entertained more than the liberal crap they got on the networks here (Fox included; "24" and "Leverage" excepted). I know it's election time, but look up IRIS on Hulu.com (watch for free). Episodes 2 and 5 have not been dubbed in English yet, but if you skip from 1 to 3, you shouldn't lose too much. From episode 3 and on, it's been a great run.

OK, this is from a guy who only watches Columbo reruns, Leverage, Monk reruns, and Perry Mason reruns on TV. If they ever syndicate this show on TV here, I believe they'd get good ratings.

Just a heads up...
