Barney Frank flew free in bailout billionaire’s jet

Not good publicity for the chairman, whose race has become much more interesting in recent weeks:

Quote
U.S. Rep. Barney Frank didn’t get just a free luxury jet ride to the Virgin Islands with a financier who got a $200 million federal bailout, he also stayed at the billionaire’s tropical mansion, his aide said.

“They’re friends. Are you not supposed to have friends if they’re wealthy?” Frank spokesman Harry Gural said of the Newton Democrat’s relationship with S. Donald Sussman.

That’s an interesting way of framing it. I think the answer is that you’re not supposed to bail out your wealthy friends.

But the story gets better:

Quote
Frank, who has become the face of the unpopular federal bailouts, told the Herald the trip was “personal,” saying he and his partner, Jim Ready, are friends of Sussman and his fiancee, U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine). Gural said all four stayed at Sussman’s St. Thomas manse.

Frank reported the cost of the flight from Maine to the Virgin Islands at $1,500, but reported no other expenses. Aviation experts pegged the total cost of such a flight at as much as $30,000 each way.

Take out Sussman, too.

He should be facing the wrath of his share holders and maybe being sued for failing at his fiduciary responsibilities rather than using tax payer money to hold on to his "manse."
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Investigate/charge him/prison him!

Does it have to be in that order?

 :whatever:

Of course Mr. Frank may find prison to his liking.

Got to hand it to Barney, he is a super intelligent whiz kid.

He knew he could not pass for straight so as a young man came right out and had nothing to hide.

He watched as the politicians that stood for family values came into the exclusive gay clubs in DC, and took names.  He knew who on the police force and in the DA office were gay friendly and who had gay kids and relatives.

Not hard to do back in his day to pinpoint the governes of 50 states and the Senate and Congressmen with gay family's or themselves gay.

As an up and comer he knew everyone that had power that would pay him off in some way to keep his mouth shut.   His friends even lead him into the highest reaches of the Pentegon to gay chiefs of staff.

By just taking names and going into the underworld of sordid gay life for 20 + years paid off when he ran into trouble for his doings and others in his house hold.

Barney is today one of the most feared men in DC. and else where.
He is above reproach as those that point a finger at him may receive  a back lash that destroys their carears or destroys family members marriages and the future of their kids.

No problem with fear of someone offing him, he most likely has copy's of his  life experiences, dates and times held around the country by 100's of friend all too willing to place these in the hands of the public.    Best to keep him alive and do as he asks then face family disgrace.

In my openion Barney is an evil little twit that used his intelligence to turn his life into one hell of a glory hole for fame and fortune.

But he is not the first or the last to do so.   The ones we have to watch are the people that hide their true identity from family and the public and catch us unguarded, confused and in shock.

I can think of a few sociopaths that we have lived around that have done more harm then Barney, at least for him it is the money and sex, not leaving dead body's all over the place.----Or has he?

If I boil down what you are saying it is that Bawney is guilty of a form of black mail?  Yes??

Political Correctness run amok?  You just might be on to something here Vesta.  Even if one were not a raging queen the specter of having to defend against an accusation could indeed be devastating.

I am told, by people from Barney's homo town, that my impression of him is perfect.  Not sure that is a compliment.
