How often do you check for sock puppets? I have suspected, after each TSing, when someone with a very, very low post count begins posting similar posts - similar subject matter, same times of the day & same days of the week - that they are often a sock puppet.

Just curious.

 But we don't check everyone. We only check to see if someone might be a sockpuppet if we have reason to believe they might be.

 Hopefully, I am wrong about one particular "spammer" in the Lounge.

It is rather interesting, that one person I am thinking of seems to have the same exact posting patterns (non-stop, it seems, except for Sunday afternoons)... just like a former DUer. Maybe it's just an odd coincidence.

 Already sent an email to an Admin (don't remember which of you, sorry). Mainly, because the poster is so annoying (in an incessant, requires a need-to-log-in-just-to-see-page-two, way). Possibly, that DUer checked out (as NOT being a sock puppet), at that time, I don't know.
 

In the "old days", that thread would have been a flame-war, with accusations of who Haole Girl is claiming to be a sockpuppet.  Good old ATA, free comedy gold.

Why are posts allowed in GD

 which are stared for the sole purpose of bashing Christians - all Christians? I know there are forums designed specifically for that purpose, but GD is used on a regular basis. I have never seen a thread begun by DU Christians for the pupose of bashing atheists in ANY forum, and I'm quite sure that it would be locked or moved idf there was one.

Dear Admins, can we have a UFO forum please? People have been suggesting it for years now. It's disturbing to see threads like the ones on the conference at the National Press Club featuring military personnel discussing UFO incidents at nuclear missile sites relegated to the 9/11 forum. We get it...someone is trying to show their disdain for the subject (despite the fact that the aforementioned story was covered by every major news network). Fine...don't want to hear about it in Latest Breaking or GD? Then why not put the threads in their own forum.

Surely if there's a forum for Birders and Motor scooters there can be one for an "inane" subject like UFOs. One that for some reason many people are interested in and don't dismiss out of hand.

Now I get it!  THIS is why it takes 3 guys working full-time to run the asylum.  Opening this was a Pandora's box that the three amigos will deeply regret, and will likely slam the lid shut on soon.  Every DUmmie is a whiner, and they'll all swarm to the whine-fest that is ATA. 

What is the approximate age when you stop running to mom when something doesn't go your way?  Whatever it is, the DUmpmonkiez never grew out of it.
