Book thrown at President Obama

Obama has the book thrown at him: Moment a missile narrowly misses the U.S. President's head during campaign rally
By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 3:07 AM on 11th October 2010
This is the astonishing moment a book was apparently hurled at the head of U.S. President Barack Obama during a campaign rally in Philadelphia.
The flying missile narrowly missed hitting the President today.
It is not clear what the book was, where it came from in the crowd, or why it was thrown at Mr Obama - who did not appear to notice the danger.
Close call: It is not clear where the book came from in the crowd - or what type of book it was
But it is expected that there will be fallout from the security breach as the Secret Service investigates how close the President came to danger.

4. No report on this from anyone in the US press
You'd have heard about it if it happened, don't you think? There were 18,500 people there.

5. If that pic looked any more Photoshopped, it's be on the Photoshop package
and be a pretty girl with impossibly blue eyes.
And the Daily Mail? Pshaw.

31. Let us see now...
Book supposedly being thrown, but no movement blurring of same.
Book fuzzier than president.
Clipping path around book sucks.
President doesn't have "someone's throwing something at me!" expression on his face.
I give the person an F in Photoshopping Skills.
I have to ask, is the man so adulated, so adored, so universally loved, so pristine, so awe-inspiring, that no one could possibly even consider such an affront? Even Jesus Christ was battered and beaten and nailed to a cross, but this guy can't have a pamphlet tossed his way?
Wait. What's this?

34. FWIW, Secret Service confirms a book was thrown
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2010/10/book-hu...
The US Secret Service found and interviewed the man who threw the book onstage. He was deemed to be an “overexhuberant†supporter who wanted the President to have a copy of a book he had written, according the Special Agent Edwin Donovan of the Secret Service in Washington. “He was deemed not to be a threat and was not arrested,†Donovan told ABC News.

43. Yes it did. They guy who threw it says he is a fan of Obama and wanted him to read it
because he wrote the book. He has been released as harmless.

38. Okay, it happened, but I stand by the fact that that photo looks incredibly fake.
There's been some serious tweaking of the pic. the color and depth of field is way bizarre.
Stupid, mindless, idol-worshiping sheep.
