7. That would be an interesting survey - take a bunch of Jesus' lesser-known

quotes and obvious 'policy' positions and then ask Rs what party this person belongs to. Or, to make it less obviously a trick, mix Jesus in with the statements of other people and have respondents rank the speakers along the left-right continuum...

Hey go for it. I know the go and sin no more quote would have all the lefties heads exploding.

19. Well he did hang out with whores and crooked businessmen.

But that feed the naked and clothe the hungry stuff would definitely be a problem for him.

yeah he did hang out with thieves, prostitutes etc you leave out the part of how he taught them to change their ways and be productive people.

And he didn't say get the govt to feed the hungry and clothe the poor. He said to willingly pull out your own wallet and help people.

So much stupid in that thread.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Jesus came to pay the price for sin through His death on the cross.
He had no political agenda and to claim He did while denying the work He spoke of is the utmost of blasphemy.

You want to talk about Jesus DUmmies then you better read and accept what He declared Himself to be.

Besides, religion and politics, is like acid to the very people making this ridiculous supposition!

I doubt Jesus would think the same! And as much as they try and deny, neither would the Founding Fathers!!!!!!!

So they are bringing in Jesus into their debate to prove how wrong we are when in fact they would be the first to nail him to a ****ing cross. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds. Hope GOD is watching them and gives them what they deserve come Nov.2ND

The preacher was shaking hands with the congregation as they were leaving church one Sunday.  Along came one of his "flock", not exactly a prime example of a true believer.  Most would declare him a "backslider".
Preacher asks him if he was in the "Army of the Lord", he declares "Yes sir, preacher."
"Then how come I only see you in church on holidays and special occasions?"
"Because I'm in the Secret Service."

Bingo!! We're dealing with individuals who, when asked by Jesus if they fed the hungry, clothed the naked, gave drink to the thirsty, and helped widows and the fatherless, will say "Well, I approved of tax money being used for that purpose."  Wrong answer.

The King of Kings and Lord of Lords doesn't have to be "elected" to his Messiahship.  (Unlike Barry Big-Ears).  He IS the Messiah; the real deal (no styrofoam Barrack-opolis required).

Oh, and the only similarity between The Savior and Barry Big-Ears is that the dead will turn out in droves to support him (without Dhimmi'Rat or Union Thug "assistance", though).

I imagine the DUmmies would tell Mary that the child she was carrying was not of God but merely a zygote and they would smuggle her into Egypt without notifying her parents to terminate the pregnancy then stuff a fistful of condoms into her hand and tell her to go forth and sin some more.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

More likely he would say "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do".

Oh they know what they do....they just don't care.

Jesus certainly understood--prophesied--that wars were going to continue:

Mark 13:7-8

When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is still to come. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. This is but the beginning of the birth pangs.

And understood the need for armed forces:

Matthew 8:5-10

When he entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, appealing to him 6and saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible distress." And he said to him, "I will come and cure him." The centurion answered, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another, 'Come,' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this,' and the slave does it." When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, "Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.

-------------

I don't see the DUmmies making it clear what office he would be running in a primary FOR. Although the idea of Jesus seeking political office is flatly ludicrous--"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence" (John 18:36)--he probably would win a Republican legislator's seat nomination handily. Obviously Jesus Christ would not be suited to command in war, and He'd probably have been the first to say that if ever asked. In fact he pretty much was asked that in the quote from John above.

More likely he would say "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do".

The last buncha DUmmies Jesus ran into, he made a whip out of reeds and drove them like the sheeple they are from the courtyard of his temple.

I try to teach my son to follow Jesus' example in all things.  This ought to be a good addition to his understanding of the Savior.
