2010 Nashville British Car Club Show

The auto-focus on my camera wasn't working, so some of the pictures aren't that great.  The show was at Centennial Park which was nice.  I heard this was the first time they've held it there.  I showed up early and got a good parking spot. 

The Lane Motor Museum was there and they brought the 1932 Helicron and what looked like every MG T in Davidson county.

Probably the most expensive car there... a 1924 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost




If you've never been to the Parthenon in Nashville, it's an amazing building.  They're currently restoring all the friezes on the outside.








And some funny armored car I saw driving around.  Looks like Vanderbilt updated their security.

Wonderful photos. I just love cars. A friend of mine had a MGB. Once it broke down  and told her it was the "gulp valve". The Jag E was a fav of mine. I still have a corgi toy blue car that is the Jag E.

I have around 150 full-size (3000x2000) JPEGs if anybody wants one for a background.  I'd recommend doing some processing to it to even out the highs, lows, and midrange.

Looks like a Ferret, which is a Brit armored car. Guess it would fit in there.  :-)

My brother owned a MGB and I had a Sunbeam Alpine and a TR3. These puppies require a great deal of maintenance. Brits make beautiful cars though.

I still want one.  Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to drive one, so all I can do is live vicariously through other people.  There is one for sale at a car lot down the street... I may drop by and ask for a test drive just for the experience.  Some people think they're overdone and passe, but they're such pretty cars even if they aren't perfect.  Besides, any 30+ year-old car is going to have problems.

I always wanted an Austin Healy. Other than a Jag, the Healy is the best looking Brit sports car. Another sports car I lusted after was the Alfa Spider Veloce.

There was one Sunbeam Alpine at the show.  I didn't post the picture because it came out very dark and I haven't done any processing to these pictures yet.  I cleaned this one up.

That Lane Car Museum is something else for sure!  Musta spent about 3 hours in there.  Looks like a good day for a car show.
