Woman with crowbar bashes display of controversial Jesus artwork in Loveland

LOVELAND -- A Montana woman is now in custody suspected of using a crowbar to break a piece of Plexiglass and get at a controversial piece of artwork depicting Jesus at the Loveland Museum/Gallery today.

Loveland officials have identified the woman as Kathleen Folden, 56, of Kalispell, Mont.

She has been charged with criminal mischief, a Class 4 felony with fines ranging from $1,000-2,000.

The piece of artwork that has caused the controversy is called "The Misadventures of Romantic Cannibals." A part of the painting shows a man who appears to be Jesus Christ engaging in a sex act with a man. Many have called it "smut" and asked that it be removed.


But, I thought it was only Muslims who freaked out and got violent if people did things they felt offended their superstition religion... :sarcasm:

No indication at all that she had any intent to harm anyone.  Not a single charge is related to her threatening a person. Yes, she destroyed a piece of art, and it sounds like she'll be paying fines as a consequence, but really, they are comparing that to islamic terrorism?

This from the people who throw temper tantrums when they see Fox News in public places.  They are objecting to somebody "censoring" something they find objectionable?

What kind of an ass would consider this to be art?????????? The only reason I can think of, is to get a reaction just like this one!!!!

Maybe we should investigate to find out if this asshole is subsidized by the gubmint freebies our congress critters seem to think we can't do without!

I'm sure we ought to lay off police and fireman before we take this kind of funding away!
