    Having always hated the concept of hatred, I all too often find myself giving into it.

    My hatred extends to (most) Republican politicians, teabagger idiots, blue dog Democrats, and especially the billionaires who own us all and can spend whatever is necessary to achieve their goals.

    The reason I hate them is not only because they’ve destroyed much of the America we’ve known, but because they’re far from finished. They want to destroy the rest of whatever exists of Democracy. They want it all. And there doesn't seem to be any way to stop them.

    Whenever I find myself drowning in hatred, I pull back, mentally change the subject, and find something positive on which to focus.

    But here’s the point of this post. Every time I find myself indulging this hatred, I feel physically ill. When I turn it off, I start to feel a whole lot better. And when I walk away from politics for a while, I feel downright great.

    I get the idea that I’m not the only one who goes through these cycles. But one thing of which I’m certain is that hatred is self-destructive. I resent the fact that I allow the ignorant and/or vicious, greedy people of this world to influence my mental well being. And I intend to do everything possible to fight them while suppressing my hatred.

    So here’s my question. Does this happen to you? And if so, how do you deal with it?

You have to roll it off your back,like water on a ducks back. And a stiff drink or two. :cheersmate:

Seriously, it can make you sick. I think a lot of people hang on to it, too long.  I have to get up and do something constructive. This helps me.

Lets ask ourselves what we Hate.   

Pedophiles, mass murderes, perhaps mother-in-laws and pit bulls.  [Sometimes the MIL and the pit bulls are the same thing]

True hate leads to horror, fortunately there are few times in ones life when Hate pure and simple comes in their life.

Fortunately I have never had this form of insanity come to me.

What would cause any of us to cause Hate.?

I can think of just one thing that would make me a raving lunatic filled with Hate.

That would be the abduction and torture murder of my young little kids in the family.    I do not know how people manage to stay sane in these cases.

I suppose that would explain why every last one of the useless, hateful ****ers seems to have some physical or mental disability (If not both) that keeps them from productive labor of any sort.

Heh! You and me both, brother, you and me both!!!!!!!!!! Took me close to 40 years to figure that out!

I get a real kick outa these 20, 30, and 40 year old's who think they're tough! Experience is everything! As long as you keep your temper under control, everything seems to happen in slow mo!

I have heard this before, the only winner in a fight is the person that has nothing left to loose.

Emotions cause a fighter to loose concentration, and self survival.

This ex-cop who shot a 9 year old kid coming at him with a cocked gun told people that to survive he had to look at the threat and not see a child standing there.

Many a good man and woman have been blown to bits in war time by some sweet 5 year old that they feel sorry for not knowing the parents have strapped a hand grenade under their clothing.
