What is ‘polar bear hunting’?

It’s a racist assault by blacks(mostly young men) on whites(mostly men of any age). Most often it involves more than one attacker on a lone victim, and usually from behind with no warning.

In the Champaign, Ill. area “the number of reports of beatings to white men in Champaign appear to be coming in quicker than police can even process them.”

The most recent attack was this past Friday night on a lone man walking home after a high school football game.

“I’m not a racist. My black friends are just as frustrated and (ticked) off as my white friends,” he said. “The frustration transcends race, but the activities all seem to be race-related.”

And he’s nervous that an attacker or an innocent bystander is going to be killed by a victim who might be armed.

That last line brings up another incident that occurred on the South East side of Chicago. An elderly widow shot and wounded two boys, twelve and thirteen years old, after being terrorized by them repeatedly and throwing a brick through her window. Even in a gun averse city like Chicago and state like Illinois, the woman will not be charged with a crime, but the two punks will be.

One of my co-workers has a son in college in Roanoke, VA, who got jumped by four "yutes" over the weekend, one of whom asked him for a light, and was then jumped.

It stems from stupidity. It stems from ignorance. It stems from people thinking life has no value. And unfortunately, it is rampant in the black community amongst itself (if that makes any sense). There are so many pointless driveby shootings. People dying for nothing. It happens everyday everywhere here in our country. It is pretty big in Jackson, MS. I am always hearing of stupid driveby shootings on the news, or bar shootings, or random shootings and stabbings. Life has value. It has more value than whatever stupid point these ignorant idiotic assholes are trying to make.

I see this more often than not in the black community. And I don't think it has to do with the news only wanting to report black on black crime. It is what happens. That can't be denied. Something has gone wrong. Way wrong, and the people in these communities need to step up and STOP it. Whatever it takes. And the same can be said for this "polar bear" crap.

I think a lot has to do with poor role models. This is a true story. My mom, a court reporter, was there hearing an estate case. Some "head gang" member had died, and his mother was there contesting the estate against one of his girlfriends. This guy was 32. He had 36 children. I kid you not. AND 2 more were born AFTER he died. They thought he had all this money, but oh no, not when you consider back child support for 36 + 2 unborn children. And the 36 children was and to quote (from my mom) "that we know of".

So, my point is many of these children have no father figure and their mothers are making up for it by working 2-3 jobs. Who is there to teach these children anything? Most kids go by what they know, and unfortunately, what many of these kids know is not good. I don't think children have to have a mom and dad to be good kids, but that is the "ideal" scenario. What kids needs is love and guidance. But where is the guidance when mom or dad or whoever is working their ass off to make ends meet?

My thought would be if someone was pushing themselves to work 2-3 jobs a week, they are the good role model.  That was what my Mom did.  I was taught nothing comes free, and that there are consequences to my actions.  I agree that there is a serious lack of good role models out there.  I used to be a mentor at Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and hope to begin again once my work situation calms down.  There is only so much a volunteer can do.  This perverted sense of entitlement that many families have has got to be squashed.  I know of situations where there are more than one generation of a family on welfare.  That has got to stop.  To be quite honest, seeing that kind of crap is what pushed me to be more conservative in my voting practices.  What kind of craziness should we expect a generation from now?

I am not looking forward to it, not at this point.  When so many have a blatant disregard towards work, country, family, et.al in no particular order it saddens me.  Not just for me, but for my family that has passed on that worked so hard for me, on my behalf.

You know I do agree. Welfare has become too easy. I don't think it should be hard for those who truly need it, but it is an "easy pass" for many trying to screw the system. And I have aquaintances that have done it themselves. Putting "separated" on forms to get WIC when they have a new baby. It makes me sick because these same people bitch about those on welfare. It is a tool that is there for those who truly truly need it. It is abused, and I hate that for those who really need it because they are looked down on. Hint #1: if you can afford a brand new Lexus, you might need to reconsider your welfare status.

Exactly!  My Mom could have easily gotten food stamps, and we could have eaten alot better than we did, but she was too proud, and I ate so many friggin hot dogs/waffles/ramen dinners I finally started eating all three again, 25 plus years later.  But, at the time I didn't feel undernourished.  We always had milk and bananas.     Woulda been cool to have a TV though.  We didn't have one for a year or so.  But, then my Mom probably wouldn't have had time to teach us how to dance.  Yeah, we can mashed potato, we can do the twist, and so forth and so on.
