I love small town people
« on: October 04, 2010, 04:00:43 PM »
Why do I find this so funny, perhaps all the explanations for why a small town woman say this to a news reporter-----

DURHAM Did you feel it? A magnitude 3.1 earthquake shook New Hampshire on Saturday, Sept. 26, causing much surprise but no reports of damage.

The quake, which occurred at 11:28 p.m., originated 10 miles northwest of Concord in Boscawen, N.H. Durham was about 40 miles from the epicenter.

People were affected across central and southern New Hampshire and just over the border in Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts.

Yet, quite a few people never noticed the earthquake.

Tracy Jones, a Durham resident, said that she was outside at a neighborhood block party and no one felt it. “We sort of heard some rumbling,” she said. “But my husband was at home sleeping.”
