'Bacon Kevin Bacon' Statue Available on eBay
« on: October 01, 2010, 02:28:39 PM »
Of all the heady ideas: a bust of actor Kevin Bacon made entirely of bacon. And the salty creation could be yours if you are the highest bidder on eBay.

The bust is being auctioned off on eBay for 10 days, ending Oct. 9. All the proceeds from the sale will go to Ashley's Team, a nonprofit organization that works to bring joy to children with cancer and their families, reported AOL News .

"Owning Bacon Kevin Bacon will automatically make you the coolest person you will ever know, a champion of the underground meat sculpture movement and honestly should really tie any room together nicely. After all, bacon does make everything better," states the eBay posting.

The eBay note also cautions that the Bacon Kevin Bacon sculpture is not edible.

"Don't worry, BKB has been well lacquered and will stay tasty for generations to come so stop listening to your inner-doubt, put in a bid and make every person you will ever know jealous of your legendarily epic greatness."

The driving force behind the piece is Seattle-based J&D Foods , which specializes in all things bacon. Its products include bacon-flavored salt and mayonnaise dubbed "Baconnaise" and bacon-flavored lip balm, according to AOL.
