Newsweek Cover Shenanigans
« on: September 30, 2010, 06:06:36 PM »

At first blush, this is a fairly nice cover with a good collection of the "Momma Grizzlies" in similar dress, cropped to similar height, all looking attractive in their respective poses.

Of course, the story inside isn't so nice, but thats to be expected. Thats not the purpose of this post. .. Newsweek did something interesting to Nikki's photo.

This is Nikki Haley with her family.

Here is another picture of her..

and a picture of Nikki with Sarah..

Now go back and look at the Newsweek cover again...

Thats right.. Or should I say, Thats 'white'.. Newsweek made her white. I suppose its hard to make fun of all those " teabaggin' racist cracka' women " when one of them is of Indian heritage, isn't it ?

Or am I too wrapped in pre-election tinfoil ? You be the judge...

The libs are just mad that they can no longer try to say we fear powerful women.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Alright -- Just to be certain that I am not 'seeing things', I managed to find another photo of Nikki Haley in the same outfit, probably from the same event.

I think someone has some 'splainin to do...

edit -- and finally --

Same jacket, most likely photographed at the same time by the same person as the picture in the current Newsweek cover. Shenanigans !

It's Newsweek.  It's not like anyone is going to read it anyway.

Us folks in S.C. know she's India indian....and kindda dark....but not red....as in COMMIE.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Exactly - this change in pigmentation does nothing except create a false visual impression to everyone else out of state who may not pay as much attention - that all of the 'momma grizzlies' are Sarah Palin clones... it implies they are all White, Christian, and attractive. The article also implies they are all shrill, vapid, and ineffectual.

I think the point of the cover is 'A vote for (insert Momma Grizzly here) is a vote for Palin' - and all of the negative things the left have smeared Sarah with -- including her race --   to dissuade fence-sitters from voting 'incorrectly' in just over a month from now.

Wow - I didn't think my observation was that newsworthy - I appreciate this.

It's a well-established fact that the TEA Party is racist so obviously no person of color could ever be allowed to associate with them ergo Newsweek was just making a correction for Mrs Haley's error.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."
