Once again they're making up bouncies in their empty little heads based on fantasies they found at the bottom of a bottle of MD20/20 and a Cheetos bag. FYI you stupid cow...some costs of running the country are mandated in the constitution, i.e. the military & interstate commerce. We all get a return on our tax dollars that benefit everyone. Other services like police, fire, parks, etc. are state & local issues, NOT federal. That means individual communities can decide what priorities are important to them. Park upkeep may be important to my county while buying new library books may be more important to the one next door. Another may decide neither is worth an increase in taxes. If I don't like the priorities of my county (or state), I can vote with my feet and move to some place that more reflects my values. When the feds get involved I lose my freedom and my voice because no matter where I go I'm paying for things that I don't want nor do I think are necessary. A good example is the fed's involvement in education. Everyone complains about schools, we keep throwing money at them, they don't improve and we're constantly told it's because we haven't given enough of our tax dollars to them. Yet, just the other day we learned that DC public schools get almost as much per student as those attending the private school the first daughters attend. So it appears throwing money at the problem hasn't worked. Citizens are overruled by powerful teachers' unions who throw money at feds, executive or congressional and no one gives a rip what we think. We pay salaries of government employees, teachers, and per student costs but have absolutely NO say in the quality of education, let alone what we do and don't want taught. That's pretty much taxation without representation. Oh, and GOVERNMENT doesn't provide ANY goodies, the American tax payer does. Get a clue. Dipshit!
