From KFI-AM Los Angeles...

President Jimmy Carter has been transferred to Metro Health Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, after experiencing an unknown health issue on a flight to the city, an airport spokesperson said.

Carter was reportedly in Ohio to autograph copies of his new book, "White House Diary," at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in the suburb of Lyndhurst.

Actually 26 seconds!  :-)

Gonna go check out the pity party at the DUmp.  I was going to post an unflattering picture of Jimmah, but decided not to.  Google images has quite a few.

The photo of Jimmuh that I distinctly remember is of him essentially collapsing across the finish line after having run a half marathon.

He did NOT look "presidential".  :whatever: Instead, he looked like the whiny pissant that he is.

learned back then, when the Dems as much as the pukes, sabotaged most of what President Carter tried to accomplish, that the Democratic party is not really on the side of "the people" but merely exists to play good cop to the rethugs' very, very, very bad cop.

I agree, but while I may loathe the man in the office, I cannot help but maintain a healthy respect for the office itself.

The man accomplished something I could never hope to (he got elected), even if he managed to FUBAR.

During Cahtah, the price of gas increased 3 fold due to the fact his regime decided to tax the piss out of it! I worked in my Dad's truck stop in the late 60's and it went from 19.9 to 54.9 in a matter of months!

Cahtah was responsible for the economic downturn that led to the crisis!

Off road fuel went from 15.9 cent per gallon in October of 1974 to a $1.39.9 by 1980. It went up about a $1 per gallon under carter.

Maybe he knew his time was getting closer, and that is why he has been speaking out so much about his missed-presidency.

It was just as bad in 78 and 79...google "Windfall Profits Tax".

I think of Carter, and this is what I see:

(The Panama Canal, if you were confused.)

And oh so many other highlights, such as his "malaise" speech, boycotting the 1980 Olympics, telling us to "put on a sweater", and of course, who could forget:
