Listerine fights jock itch

Quote
I was in Marine Corps boot camp early in 1970 and developed a bad case of jock itch. My drill instructor, although an extremely harsh and seemingly uncaring guy, had warned us all of this possibility and suggested using Listerine.

It worked beautifully, and the rash cleared up in just two days. Old-fashioned amber Listerine does burn a bit going on, but it works well. It also is good for athlete's foot.

Is anyone else curious as to how the marine  DI knew this?   :lmao:

Necessity is the mother of invention.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

A Marine Corps Drill Instructor is not called a DI.

That's one way of avoiding answering the question.  :-)

Necessity is the mother of invention.

I would hope that was it.

I didn't have to worry about jockey rash...I was at Parris Island in the winter time. Frost bite would have been  more like it. Cold damn place in the winter time. Back then the steam lines were up on poles and the January I was there, the line froze and busted. We didn't have heat or hot water for the rest of the cycle.
