OSCAR WILDE, THE LARGE-PROBOSCISED PRIMITIVE
Original message
So about the "class warfare" thing
You hear the words "class warfare" coming out of the mouths of Limbaugh, the Fox "News" cretins, and other pundits who are bought, paid for and owned by the super wealthy who own just about everything.
Yes, there is class warfare going on in America. And most of us are the victims of it. One of the oldest argumentative tactics in existence is to accuse the other guy of what you yourself are doing.
You're only a victim if you let yourself be. You're problem is impotence and jealousy. We all choose our path and learn from our mistakes (or not). Sure it's harder for some people than it is for others, but the difficulty isn't even mostly caused by "the wealthy". A dyslexic is at a disadvantage compared to those who see letters normally, people with neglectful parents often don't have the self discipline necessary to be successful, some people are painfully shy, some are deaf or blind or both, some people come here from other countries and don't speak a work of English when they arrive, some make mistakes (teen pregnancy, drug use) that make it harder for them to have the same chances, etc. These people can be from rich or poor families, minority or not, Christian , atheist, etc. Just because someone has to climb a higher hill doesn't mean they can't get to the top.
The wealthy, the owners, the power brokers, bankers, Wall Street, and international business interests are screwing us beyond our powers to comprehend. They have already stolen just about everything we have and hope to have. But they're far from done. If nothing else, burn these words into your minds. They want it all.
Yes, they are the OWNERS and that's important. It isn't yours, thus it hasn't been taken away from you, so what exactly has been "stolen" from you? Do you earn money for work you perform? Do you save? Invest in the stock market? Have a 401K? Then you'd better be grateful for "the rich". They're the ones willing to risk their riches to invest in businesses that make your investments grow.
Yet, every time we speak up, we are accused of inciting "class warfare." Don't buy this crap they're throwing at us. These are criminals who are telling us that we are responsible for being robbed by them.
Because you are. Explain HOW you're being robbed. Just once. Don't say it's because they earn more than you or earn exorbitant salaries. Your democrat house is a revolving door between Wall Street, mortgage firms, freddie & fannie, and the White House. What was that about no special interests or lobbyists in the 0bama administration? And what about people like Valerie Jarrett, the tenement queen? Or Andy Stern who's gotten filthy rich off the backs of your precious union members. Clean your own house before bitching about others.
"Class Warfare." Every time someone throws those words in your face, throw them back at them. It will be hard for them to defend while they're walking out of their favorite $200 lunch restaurant, and you're holding a hot dog.
You're an idiot! I'm not rich. Chances are, unless I hit the lottery, I won't be. But I'm sure as hell not going to begrudge others what they have. Envy is a waste of time that could be spent improving your own life. If you guys would spend more time filling your own pond you might not be so concerned with how full another's is.
