I'm transitioning my husband to vegetarian (then vegan) ... and as you may know, it isn't easy to get meals on the go.

What do you guys pack for lunch if you take your lunch with you to work?
 

The responses make me want to fire up the grill and cook up the biggest, juiciest steak I can find.  Followed by a rack of babybacks, and a whole roast chicken.

Does the husband get a choice in this I wonder? Because if I were the husband I'd be off to Burger King or the like as soon as this control freak's back was turned.

Exactly. If my wife packed anything even close to what the DUmors are suggesting, it would go right in the trashcan and I'd have me one of these bad boys from KFC!

A couple of the choices sound edible, if you only take a snack at lunch and aren't expecting an actual filling meal...the PBJ sure, okay...MAYBE the fake egg salad (I'd reserve judgment on that until I could actually see it; I can visualize the tofu possibly being able to pass the texture test as cooked egg white, but I'm not sure how she'd get that witches' brew brew to actually taste like the yolks were in it; but then maybe she is one of those goobers that throws out the only tasty part of the egg in the first place).

The rest pretty much sounds like hippy-dippy tomfoolery.

Michael Savage has been talking about vegetarian diets the past couple of days in response to Bill Clinton being interviewed and saying that aside from some fish he's basically eating a vegetarian diet, and Michael said vegetarians die sooner than meat eaters.

Of course.  Did I also happen to mention I was in "da hood" enough to where I got to enjoy Fatburger on a regular basis too?

Oh, and Tito's Tacos, Hamburger Hamlet, The Hat, Tacos Mexico--seriously, nothing better than a bunch of 75 cent carne asada and carnitas tacos when you're half in the bag at 3 am after a night of playing poker at The Bike...at least then you're not worried about where the meat came from.

If there was ever a complaint about In N Out, that would be it, but the awesomeness factor of that place is still 99.999 out of 100. 

If you ever get to California, LC, make it one of your first stops.  IIRC, they have a huge one in Vegas as well, not far off the strip just off of Trop.

Ever since some dumbass in Vegas ordered a 100X100 (yes, In N Out would really make whatever you asked for, style, whether or not it was "on the menu"), I think they limit it to 4X4.  However, if they do make a 10X10, it would probably be at least 11-12 bucks.  Last time I looked, a double-double (2 patties, two slices of cheese) is 3 bucks.

I work with a vegan.  All she eats is an apple, chicken noodle soup, and a peach... then barfs it all up in the bathroom.  I've had the unfortunate pleasure of being in the bathroom when she decided to throw up her food.  Anorexic Vegan?  Is there a term for this?  She's stick thin and her bones show... it's just gross.

Or she's not getting enough iron and other essential nutrients to keep her food down.  I knew of a vegetarian try to operate a torque wrench to something like 80 ft-lbs once and ended up breaking his wrist because the bones were so brittle.
