Poll surprise of the day: Barney Frank in trouble?
« on: September 22, 2010, 01:53:47 PM »
Quote
The Sean Bielat campaign has declared themselves within reach of unseating Barney Frank in Massachusetts’ 4th CD, one of the presumed safest districts for Democrats in the nation.  The poll, conducted for the campaign by OnMessage, shows Frank falling below the 50% mark despite the D+14 composition of his constituency.  Bielat comes within nine points, even though the poll shows that he still badly trails in name recognition.

The memo from the pollster explains that Bielat could shock the world on November 2nd:

The ballot is very encouraging and shows Bielat at 38%, Frank at 48% and 13% undecided. ...

Frank is still ahead by 10 but it might be a surprise win yet.

One can only hope.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Barney Frank...poll or pole...he's trying to decide which he likes best.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Its probably safe to say that the Tsunami has just crested the horizon, and is now in full view.......

Imagine the angst that the DNC is actually going to have to divert resources to defend these seats that were always taken for granted as "safe"......

I'm waiting for the DNC to take out an AdBot ad on the 'Island begging for donations.  Knowing their innate ability to find excrement to step in, it ought to come out about the same time as Skimmer's normal Grovel-a-thon, leaving the DUmbshits completely at a loss as to whom to send their pot money to.

Ah, Barney a true teabagger!
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

I will be helping to vote out Fwank. I voted Bielat in the primary, and will vote for him again. Realistically though - this is still BF's (Boyfriend's ? LOL ) race to lose. Coakley managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, so hopefully Frankenbarney will follow suit.

This is the banking queen's fiftheenth term? After all his fraud and corruption? This poll could be valid from the looks of it, he needs to go for what he did to this country. Term limits?

The problem is how deeply gerrymandered his district is... I live here, so I know.

The northern part is Newton, Wellesly & Brookline - which is nothing but wealthy liberals. It travels south, taking the narrowest path possible through the I-495 corridor, which tends to be conservative - to end in New Bedford, Fall River and surrounding communities which is all fishing, factory workers, with heavy immigrant populations, who vote Dem because the area newspapers tell them to. Frank also represents Dartmouth, which is home to UMass Darthmouth - a major college. Frank also covers a few small towns in this area which trend conservative, such as Fairhaven and Westport, as well as a few sleepy townships, but the population count is meaningless compared to Fall River and New Bedford, and the imported college kids.

In short, beating Frank is a daunting task, and was intentionally designed to be so. The best we can hope for is depressed turnout, maybe assisted by a nice bigass Noreaster. I'm hoping the VWRC considers unleashing the weather machine to nuke Frank's campaign - I filled out the appropriate forms, but you know how it is, especially around electioneering season...

Trust me Bawney will come from behind to pull it out (or stick it in as the case might be).  Beating Frank may be a daunting task but certainly one that needs to be done but kinky as he is he might enjoy it.

Ah well, here in NE we all have our crosses to bear.  I for one am hoping to see Che-Porter and Hodes go away in this cycle but you never know we too have been infiltrated.
