Why is DU Trying to Block the Discussion of topics Deemed anti-Israel?

Anti-Israel does NOT mean anti-semitic! DUers can post anything they want just about anywhere I would say. It's only topics that question Israel's policies against Palestinians that are locked for whatever reason and put in the Israel/Palestinian forum which is only filled with people who largely are super-interested in the topic and not people who just want to know certain things.

Can anyone explain what's going on here? Has an explanation been given by a moderator? I can post a video right now about race in the Videos section and it won't be diverted to the Race/Equality forum. Why are topics and videos about Israel diverted in this way? Is this to "manage" the discussion? Or have some high-ranking DUers been complaining about the rightful criticism of Israel following the attack on the activist Flotilla?

Technically it is known as "begging the question" although these days that expression has taken on another meaning.

You are assuming something not yet established and that many people won't accept as true.

You haven't established that his is true. You may believe it is true, but in a rational discussion, one establishes the truth of these statements before arguing against them.

I strongly suspec that the mods would dispute your statement. I suspect, much like the 9/11 forum, they strive to confine topics to that forum because they so quickly become contentious and repetetive. In a great part because people refuse to participate in rational discussions.
