Boycott Koch Industries produts. Here's the list.

Earlier today I rea a dU post asking that we boycott Koch Bros. products, but didn't provide a list. I spent some time with google and came up with a llist of consumer products to stay away from.

Dixie plates, bowls, napkins and cups
Mardi Gras napkins and towels
Quilted Northern toilet paper
Soft 'n Gentle toilet paper

All Georgia-Pacific lumber and building products *more detailed list below*

They also have a big commercial business in the same areas as listed above, and most of us can't have an impact on that, but if enough of the Pmerican people refuse to buy any of he consumer goods made by this company, I'msure we can put a hurt n their wallet...at least enough to get noticed.

It's your choice of course, but whith all the $$ they're are/have poured into denying climate cnge, supporting the Teabagers, giving to Pub candidates, and ads against all Dem candidates across the country (I would think that's also against unions) I was simply asking for a boycott. It's everyone's individual choice to do so or not.

Oh.....that's what the brothers Koch did, to incite the wrath of the primitives.

6. This is a good example of why boycotts are of limited use. Store & Industry boycotts are of some use

Boycotting lycra--which is a component of products--is incredibly hard to stay vigilant about. Inspiring people to boycott a laundry list of products is unrealistic. If you intersect it with all the other products, it becomes overwhelming. It leads to a sense of guilt (working 10 hours a day I didn't want to clean plates after my daughter's 10th BD party, but all they had were Georgia-Pacific paper products! gosh I feel so bad..) and disempowerment.

If I boycotted every product that used egregiously exploited labor, donated to Republicans, harmed the earth, etc., I'd have to be lucky enough to be able to take the time and have the resources to build a cob hut in the country. Boycotting "all grapes" was fairly easy in the 1970s. You just bought another fruit and it sent a message. Boycotting Target for political, non-economic reasons is fairly easy. You just don't walk in and you buy your cheap plastic shit elsewhere.

Boycotting for moral/political reasons is demoralizing, favors the upper class who can afford to be choosy, and in many cases is just downright impossible to navigate.

I think, instead, we need to remember our power as workers and producers, not as consumers.
