This Koran Burning Has Me Thinking.............
« on: September 10, 2010, 07:30:41 PM »
This Koran burning shows that these Muslims and leftists clearly are insecure and don't have any faith. Their lack of faith is what they are showing and why they lash out. Religion does not exist in a book or building. Religion exists in your mind and heart. It is between you and whatever you believe in.

I agree.

Another thing I have been thinking about is today Obama made a comment about the Internet, media and Koran burning guy. It made me think this whole thing was blown out of proportion as another case against an "unregulated" Internet and the need for the fairness doctrine.  But I was wearing my tinfoil hat today.

But then tie that in with the new email virus going around, which could have been a test by the Obama administration..

I can see them getting upset about it. Afterall it is a religious symbol but to go spastic over it is surreal

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

I agree with you BEG. It's tinfoil friday :-) Seriously though....NOTHING Lord Zero goes is without an ulterior motive.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

A test in what way thundley?
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?***Ronald Reagan

What it will take to trigger a government shut down of the internet in the interest of national security.

An attack on Government computer systems and servers may very well qualify.........

From the thread in breaking news about a new virus.

That  is a nice wide assortment for testing purposes.

Hey Thundley?? Who was the OP of that virus thread??  (Hint, Hint: ME)   I knew where you got it from and was essentially concurring. A virus attack of this magnitude COULD be reason to shut down the internet. I would hate to think our .gov would do that, but then again, I hate to think about what Lord Zero has already done.

In many ways technology is very vulnerable. The Internet is very choked up right now. It likely does not take that much to shut it down.

I don't like the way that many businesses & the Government rely on the internet. We're too tied to tech and much of our daily lives depend on it. Other than for entertainment & discussion, corporate and Government entities should have some sort of back up plan. Hell, I went to a store a few months ago and couldn't buy a damned thing because the power was out. 30 or more years ago, that really wouldn't have mattered for most people. I went to the Reserves Center to update my DEERS a few years ago, I had to come back another day because the "net was down".....

So true. Everything is connected to the Internet. Even the military! The credit card system is tied to the Internet too. There is Internet 2 already out, but that's not even fully implemented.
