Hi,
I about ran the car off the road I was cheering so adamantly today. He had a black caller on the line and they were talking about the charges of racism. He said that "whatever happened to the goal of equality?" His point was a simple one. If someone gets elected fair and square that is great but that also should give those who disagree with his/her policies to criticize that person just like any other previously elected official without being called racists. If one criticized Bush would folks have called them anti-whites, or if they criticize Pelosi are the mysoginists? Of course not. When folks want equality it has to be all the way.
If you want to be elected because of who you are, and what you represent.....not the color of your skin.....then you should also be able to be criticized for your policies without calling those doing the criticism names etc. Taking the heat on policies is also equality.
Boy, I could not agree with him more.
Then I read the text where Obama went off script and complained that the Republicans are talking about him like a dog or something. Wonder what would have happened if Bush had ever made those kind of remarks about his critics who called for his assination etc.
Sounds to me like BO can't take the heat.......and if that is the case I would suggest he get the hell out of the kitchen, resign, take his millions and go back to criticizing others while putting himself out of the line of fire in being criticized himself.
On a personal note, I found his remarks cowardly. Probably every president in history has been critized roundly from those who disagreed with their policies. What a lightweight we have in the oval office...
