I am a total Rush and Mark Levin nut. They don't mince words and always cut DUmmies and Libs off

I've started listening to the John Batchelor show, and I really enjoy it.  I'll admit, I'm not a fan of listening to most people who call in to radio shoes, and John Batchelor doesn't have that.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about John Batchelor's style gives the feeling that he is broadcasting from a bunker in war zone. I guess it's the urgent tone of his voice.

But anyway, Rush is my favorite, because he tells it like it is. I like Beck too. His radio show is very entertaining when him and his crew get to goofing off.

National: Not sure. Too many good ones to list, but I'm leaning on either Hannity or Rush right about now. Depends on my mood, I guess.

Local: Vicki McKenna no question. No competition. She's a cool chick. I've met her in person. She's fair, but firm on air, and doesn't take any BS!

Rush

Sometimes I'll listen to Hannity, but he just dosen't hold my attention every show like Rush can.

Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Definitely Rush.  I catch some of Beck...his radio show is so different from his TV show, which is very serious.  One of his producers does an imitation of Al Gore that never fails to make me laugh.

MICHAEL SAVAGE. Why?!?! Because he tells it like it is and goes off every once in a while. I LOVE IT! (A great conservative with a PHD)
GLENN BECK. Why?!!? Because his show is great. He has so much info on his shows sometimes it's crazy!

Vicki is my favorite local also.

Nationally I am a big Rush fan and then Levin.

I also like Dennis Miller but he is often in conflict with Rush's show

My Mom hates Michael Savage thinks he is a nut job.  I ask her why she bothers to listen to him, she says, she can't help it, she wants to know what kind of insanity he will talk about each day.

Me, I like Howie Carr from Boston, that man is a fun guy, He finds things in the Boston Paper and makes you see the stupidity of Mass. and around the country.

He has this Death contest for the famous or who won't be down for breakfast, and whoever calls in with a celebrity's name and they die next wins all kinds goodies. Best part of all the game is all the people we thought were dead that are still living.

National would be Art Bell / George Norrie.  Coast to Coast AM.

Rush for the obvious reasons. Don't really like Beck or Savage too much, and can't stand Sean's radio show.

Vesta has it right Howie Carr does a really good show.

Local to me I listen to Jim Vicevich. Up until BHO, Jim considered himself a libertarian (as opposed to Libertarian).  Great show from 9-12 EST and a real nice lead up to Rush.

Same here, but minus Scott James for Heidi Harris.  She's our local radio hostess in the morning before Beck.

We have a local guy, Phil Valentine... he's syndicated with Westwood One.

I can't stand Phil Hendrie.  Damn, what a stupid show.

Question - is there a need for serious conservative radio hosts, and would you listen to them? I would. The people listed on this thread are not serious political commentators, but rather entertainers and partisan hacks. Not that it was any better on Air America.

I listen to Peter Werbe out of Detroit. Also listen to Baraga Broadcasting (EWTN.)

I listen to talk radio throughout the day for my daily news & some entertainment while at work.  If the show is too serious, it would put me to sleep.

Rush Limbaugh is too serious for me.  Sean Hannity is too partisan.  Michael Savage is a cranky old man who rips on all of his competitors, mostly Beck.  But he can be rather entertaining when he's not being a bitter old man.

We aren't stupid, we know when we listen to talk radio that they are for the most part partisan. Have you ever listened to Dennis Prager?  He isn't all politics, I love his happiness hour.

I listen to talk radio as a form of entertainment, I know where their view is coming from. I like listening to Rush and Beck because they make me laugh.  I don't like Savage's anger.  I love Miller's wit and I enjoy Hewitt's interviews with various people.

I don't think I could take listening to Hannity, he gets obnoxious after awhile.
