Hey is 487 the number of active members over at DU?

The numbers are certainly not representative of Wichita or Kansas."That's true. It isn't "representative of Wichita or Kansas."It's hugely biased to Koch clones. Here's the proof:Freep this poll please: Why are people against unions? The Wichita Eagle ^ | 9/5/10 | DAN VOORHISPosted on Sunday, September 05, 2010 6:46:28 PM by BallygrlPlease Freep this poll on whether or not you have a favorable view of Unions.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2583762/posts"Freeping" is what right wingers from around the country do to affect polls to dump on minorities, Muslims, Jews, non-fundamentalist Christians, good government activists, campaign finance reformers, environmentalists, etc. They take directions from Rush, Drudge, Coulter, Savage, Malkin or whomever, to send thousands of votes to newspapers or broadcast sites to counterfeit public opinion as being overwhelmingly pro-corporation. pro-pollution, pro-exploitation, anti-immigrant.The Eagle can quickly determine, in all likelihood, where those thousands of votes have originated by checking its site counter. I'm betting 75% at least are from outside Kansas.
So, are you going to post a rebuttal at FR?

soon as you find your manhood all else falls into place.
If Ft. Hood was "workplace violence," then the Hindenburg was an air show.
I don't know if sand glows in the dark, but we're gonna find out.
As of Tuesday morning, it is at 76% unfav, 24% fav, with 4,130 votes. The DUmmies can whine all they want about freeping a poll, but the data was backed up with some intelligent commentary on why people voted the way they did.
Skeptic wrote on 9/6/2010 4:04:06 AM:It appears the anti-union folks posting here are mainly divided into two camps. One, ordered on to the Eagle site by FreeRepublic.com, made the majority of the posts. Today was the first time they ever posted at the Eagle site. They are clearly non-Kansans. They include posters such as "LiberalTrash," "GeekVoter," "ModerateVoter," "BallyGirl," "GoUnion," etc. Then there is a second bunch. Most of them started posting, probably drawn to the site by the nutcases at Operation Rescue, who were joyously celebrating the assassination of Dr. George Tiller. They include "Mopar"(1000+ posts in less than a year since George was shot in church), "Mom_of_5," who posts not quite as frequently, and "OneDad," who rarely posts but always seems to come from a right wing, fundamentalist perspective."Ballygirl" claims that the "DemocraticUnderground" site first asked liberals to post. I doubt that's true, but since "FreeRepublic.com" asked its "freepers" to drown the site in postings, more that 2,000 have been received. Is that an expression of the opinions of Kansans?Thank goodness, it isn't.
Ballygrl wrote on 9/6/2010 8:04:24 AM:Skeptic, oh my.You don't want to face the fact that the poll was going along OK and was reflective of Kansas voters views UNTIL the DU tried to skew the results, over 4 hours later the poll was posted at FR, and in typical progressive fashion when things don't go your way you name call. All you have to do is Google the title "DU this poll! Local paper asks for positive negative vote on unionism" and the 1st thing that comes up will be DU, you'll notice at the initial time the poll was posted at 3:30PM EST there were very few votes and Unfavorable was leading Favorable by a margin of 57-43, an hour and a half later it was 50-50, please note the DU board is set to EST, FR board default is set to PST, and the poll was posted on FR at 4:46PM PST which translates to 7:46PM EST, 4 hours and 16 minutes AFTER the poll was posted at DU. Again, turnabout is fair play, and I'd like to know why you're not complaining about DU who started this by trying to skew the poll results?
That fool Skeptic wrote this yesterday:So I answered with this and he never responded back of course:
Thanks guys! And yes I stole that line from Frank, I love it when he says Oh my LOL.BTW in case anyone doesn't read the shoutbox this was in it:[Tue 14:36] <djones520> maybe he'll do a bit of research and do a story on DU. [Tue 14:35] <djones520> Just got a reply from a reporter, whom I informed that the DUmmies were DU'ing a poll of his. He was quite shockeddjones said this the other day in this thead:I emailed the author of the story, and informed him of DU's intent to tamper with his poll. This is all turning out as heck, and the comments section is still going on, this is probably the most action that The Wichita Eagle has ever gotten. We would never of known about that poll if someone at DU was able to play fair and not try to skew the darn results.
