Oval Office rug gets history wrong
« on: September 04, 2010, 12:04:21 PM »
Jamie Stiehm
The Washington Post

Quote
A mistake has been made in the Oval Office makeover that goes beyond the beige.

President Obama's new presidential rug seemed beyond reproach, with quotations from Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. woven along its curved edge.

That's funny....and More-reen doesn't sound satisfied.

That "package" the female journalist saw in Obamas' jeans must have been a banana.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

I do not think it is a mistake. The DOJ website has had a makeover according  to a American Thinker article, the flag banner is gone from the site and a quote from some guy in the 30's who was a socialist , so no mistake for me. :fuelfire:

I wish that was the only thing he has botched. Everything else he has touched has soured also.

The FAIL just keeps coming for our lord and master. His brand new oval office rug, the one you and I bought, got a historical quote wrong. The qoute is said to be by Dr. M. L. King, a great man in his own right, but not the author of the words in question. Obama gives credit to a black man, when the words are the work of an old, religous, republican, abolitionist white man.

The quote is a socialist one, The DOJ website in a American Thinker article says DOJ took away the American Flag banner replaced it with black and gold with a quote from a 1930's socialist.. No mistake for me.

Hopefully it's also a magic carpet and it'll fly uncontrollably out the window with the Zero on it.

Here is the link to that story

Department of Justice ditches red, white and blue stars and stripes

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/08/department_of_justice_ditches.html

Quote
Well, how interesting! It seems the U.S. Department of Justice has changed its  website. Gone are the colorful red, white and blue U.S. flag decorations on the page,

replaced by stark black and white.

And at the top of the page, is a rather interesting quote:

"The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people."

Catchy, huh? Just one tiny little (too small to be relevant obviously) point -- the quote is from C. Wilfred Jenks, who in the 1930's was a leading proponent of the "international law" movement, which had as its goal to impose a global common law and which backed ‘global workers' rights.'

Call it Marxism, call it Progressivism, call it Socialism -- under any of those names it definitely makes the DOJ look corrupt in their sleek, new black website with Marxist accessories to match.

See for yourself:  http://www.justice.gov/

How very interesting that 'they' couldn't find a nice quote from one of our Founders. People, we have lost our Republic. We need to get it ba

A quote from another socialist..

Report: Rugmaker Called to Carpet for Oval Office Flub
« Reply #14 on: September 05, 2010, 06:07:37 PM »
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/09/05/report-rugmaker-called-carpet-oval-office-flub/?test=latestnews

Quote
While President Obama vacationed in Martha's Vineyard, the Oval Office got a makeover, but one quote on the new carpet
is wrongly attributed.

The new rug with the presidential seal is rimmed with quotations from Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

Ok, well not totally King.

"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice," reads the quote attributed to King. But it actually belongs to Theodore Parker, a Boston progressive from the 1800s whom King cited in his speeches, The Washington Post reports.

Parker, an abolitionist, Unitarian minister and Trans
UNreal this bunch. I do not like this Hopey Changey sh!t at all, not at 'tall!

This rug burn story reminded me about the unoriginal artwork that the Obama's had for a short time.  http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/11/04/off-the-wall-white-house-changes-mind-about-painting/

What does it say when they cannot get a rug done correctly? a simple rug. They do not care. :fuelfire:

Wonder if there is any of that going on late at night in the WH?

I can hear MeShell screaming, "OH GOD...OH GOD....OH GOD"...and I can hear Obama answering her, "Damn woman! You don't have to shout...I'm right here."
