I don't post here very often but I can tell you that there is no "loyalty test" required.  The key is to be considerate to other posters and to generally behave with common courtesy.  There is a Welcome and Introduction forum available so that you can introduce yourself.
Again, I'm not a regular here but I'll extend a welcome to you since most of the regulars seem to be out for the night.

You would do well to hang back for a few posts and see how the forum works and post something like this in the appropriate forum, like maybe the Welcome and Introductions forum.

No loyalty test here.  Just a low tolerance for talking points.  However...if you ever had a presence at DU you're probably now branded a traitor and will have trouble accessing your account tomorrow.

Believe it or not, while we here at the Conservative Cave don't usually agree with most "liberals", we aren't apt to ban somebody just because of their political beliefs, unlike "other" forums. Start espousing leftist "talking points" and I will advise you that you WILL be met with a LOT of resistance. Rationally thought out discussions and debate are always welcome. Intentional disruption WILL get you sent packing.

I, too, am a musician. There are also other musicians onboard here. I've played piano, trombone, guitar & trumpet with trombone being my main instrument. I hope you enjoy your stay here. However long that will be is all up to you!!  :)

Yeah, I'm one of the horn honkers too.

Working on an arrangement of Irish folk tunes for brass quintet. Something for the Jameson crowd - they love me for it.

When you come back after your late night soiree (up at the crack of noon?), I'm sure there'll be much to discuss. But by all means, introduce yourself first and strap your seat belt on.

You're gonna need it.  ;)

Nope, no loyalty tests here. Just a bunch of reich-wing, puppy-kicking, racist troglodytes who make more money than God and laugh at poor black people.

Other than that, we're perfectly nice people.  :rotf:

Welcome! No loyalty tests here. We are a lively bunch though so as long as you roll with the punches and don't have a hidden agenda, you'll be fine.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
