So Much for the Dem Strategy of Running Against Bush
« on: August 31, 2010, 04:35:10 PM »
Dems have always been chickenshits, granted. The fact Obama ran against Bush instead of McCain in 2008 was telling in and of itself; that he is still doing so in 2010 as a mid-term campaign strategy is screaming at the top of one's lungs in sheer desperation.

Well, this latest PPP poll should take the breath out of their lungs:

Quote
We’ll start rolling out our Ohio poll results tomorrow but there’s one finding on the poll that pretty much sums it up: by a 50-42 margin voters there say they’d rather have George W. Bush in the White House right now than Barack Obama.

Coupled with a 10-point margin in favor of the GOP on a generic ballot and the dems needn't worry about motivating their base to make a showing in November but rather keeping the base from slitting their wrists.

May the dems prove as successful in the latter endeavor as they have at every other initiative they have undertaken.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

That's some achievement, to run against someone who's not on the ballot ... and lose.  :lmao:
