As seen on Olbermann, free clinic in NOLA needs donations
Remember how your heart was breaking five years ago? Here's your chance to help.

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!
It's a FREE clinic. The operative word "free" explicitly means it does not cost money.
Why does a FREE clinic need money?
Maybe you should rename it, "a clinic wholly dependent on money provided by people other than those consuming its resources."
And once you have duly renamed it remember that name every time you idiots prattle-on about all the FREE shit ObamaCare is supposed to bestow.

10. If I remember correctly
they were about $200,000 short and 600 people had already signed up to be treated. The health clinic could easily spend a whole week in New Orlens fer crying out loud.
Please keep this kicked!
http://upload.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x9023889$200,000 / 600 = $333.33 per patient
1. Going rate for a check-up with a family practitioner is about $90.00
2. An insurance company pays about $60.00.
3. This clinic runs a waiting list?
4. A waiting list with 600 people on it!
5. It's a private charity, not a government program.
TAKE AWAY:
* So-called "free" clinics operate under deceptive tiles because they are not free.
* Actually, your free clinic runs about 4 times higher than the services provided by evil insurance companies.
* Expect long waits
* The existence of private charities--even poorly run charities--undercuts the argument for centralized government control.
* Do not expect liberals to detect even the slightest hint if what they are trying to impose on the rest of the US by their unceasing quest for more stuff that costs other people but which they have no intention of paying for with their own money.
Of course what is really driving that thread isn't so much a quest provide for their own well-being but a desperate attempt to show KO as being relevant.
"Oh look! Keith mentioned this charity so now they can finally get some funding! Keith still matters! Take THAT Rush Limbaugh, with your multi-million dollar donations!"
