12. "recovery summer" and "the stimulus worked"
Most people have pretty short term memory with government - what have you done for me lately?
Republicans aren't presenting substantive ideas on anything so people don't have a current opinion one way or another. Meanwhile Democrats are saying "recovery summer" and "the stimulus worked" and "we created 1.4 to 3 million jobs" and the people are thinking "you're wrong".
Then the Democrats brag about "reform" they've accomplished but people say "my health care is the same or worse" and "what exactly changed with the financial system?".
This obvious freeper troll is correct. What is banging Obama and the Democrat's numbers now are Obama and the Democrats. "Recovery Summer" , "The Stimulus Worked" , "We saved or created X jobs" and "immediate benefits from passing the HCR bill" are all biting their collective asses at once.
The Self-anointed "smartest administration in history" has managed to throw itself into the same bear trap that G.W. Bush did;
"Mission Accomplished"
The only difference is the smartest administration in history has thrown itself into the same bear trap multiple times. Just in time for elections.
So, Democrats. You are in an interesting position - if this is 'the smartest administration in history' - it's obvious to me that they know what they are doing, and want the House and Senate to lose members -or- Obama - as President - is totally in over his head.
