Thanks to Fox News, I had a great day today 

I have a carpet and upholstery biz, doing ok but have seen better days....blah blah blah

As always "Bob", has Fox News on the TV.
Bob for some reason has always thought that I am a Republican, maybe cuz I own my own business in Oakland County, Michigan, a Repub stronghold, don't know, really don't care.

I say, " Bob, I just can't watch Fox News anymore."
Bob queries, " Hey, how come? Thought you loved those guys."

"Well", I said, "They are owned by a foreigner, Rupert Murdoch and his second largest donor is Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal"

"C"mon, I mean thats just wrong, that we get our news from some foreigner and a Muslim terrorist" , I added, secretly smiling all the time.

Bob, "Really?" I say, "Just google it, find out all the stuff".

Bob enjoined, " They have some great ideas."

Said I, "Of course. But do you want those ideas to come from some foreigner and from Muslims?

Little background at this point.

Bob is a deacon at one of the largest Catholic parishes in our area, blah blah blah

Ok, long story even longer, I get to work, cleaning the carpets.
Tv was shut off, not a sound of any crap, except that which was going up my hoses. Cleaning humor, sorry!

I have a truck-mounted machine, needs a little attention every once in a while, pressure checks flow checks, etc.
All this means is that i have to go outside the home every so often to check stuff.

Bob was sitting in the garage, on the cell, talking to his friends.

He told his buddy the stuff he found on Google about Fox News, the ownership, the contributors.

He said, "I'm never going to put that shit on my TV again" I was astounded, it went on.

Bob continued, " I'm telling everyone to turn off Fox News."

I felt great, turning the tables a little, getting the word out.

You know, you never know when the opportunity comes, it may be small, it may be unannounced,
JUST TAKE IT!

OK, we have the verbatim conversation and we have the conversion.  I doubt "Bob" will get much traction in a Republican stronghold.  His neighbors will wonder why it's any business of his what they watch and will drop him as a friend.    See, this just doesn't happen in real life.

Rupert Murdoch was born in Australia, but became an American citizen in 1985.  He and his family are the largest shareholders of News Corp, Fox News parent company.  He is the Chairman and CEO of News Corp, Roger Ailes is the Chairman of Fox Television Stations Group, which includes Fox News.

Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal owns 7% of News Corp's shares thru his Kingdom Holding Company, which makes him the second largest shareholder, not donor, DUmbass.

In contrast, NBC's parent company, GE, has 20.85% of its stock owned by the Turkey-based Garanti Bank, and was instrumental in developing and testing the atomic bomb.

Yeah, as far as I could tell, only one DUmpmonkey said "uh, guys?  Is spreading Islamophobia a good justification?"  He was ignored. 

This little gleeful romp they're having with the FNC shareholder deal....shouldn't it be leaving a bad taste in their mouths?  This ARAB is a scumbag just for being ARAB.  His investment dollars must be rejected!  Filthy money!

It is amazing how they can castigate all opposition to the GZVM as islamophobis but then they gleefully play on islamophobia as a means to impede rights of free speech as expressed by Fox News.
