Nothing, I mean NOTHING, could budge the DUmbasses from the meme that opposition to the GZ Victory Mosque was little better than New York redneck shit-kicker racism.
Sensitivities to victims and surviving family members of 9/11 families? No, it's really racism.
Cordoba House's links to listed terrorist groups? Nope, it's really just racism.
Support for the project by fluffy-cuddlies like Hamas? No, really, it's just racism.
So what could conceivably prompt good liberals to oppose the GZVM?

Fox News co-owner funded ‘Ground Zero mosque’ imam: report
By Raw Story
Saturday, August 21st, 2010 -- 7:02 pm
The second largest shareholder in News Corp. -- the parent company of Fox News -- has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to causes linked to the imam planning to build a Muslim community center and mosque near Ground Zero in Manhattan, says a report from Yahoo!News.
According to the report from Yahoo!'s John Cook, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, who owns seven percent of News Corp., "has directly funded (Imam Feisal Abdul) Rauf's projects to the tune of more than $300,000."
Cook reports that Prince Al-Waleed's personal charity, the Kingdom Foundation, donated $305,000 to Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow, a project sponsored by two of Rauf's initiatives, the American Society for Muslim Advancement and the Cordoba Initiative, which is building the Manhattan mosque.
That Fox News' second-largest shareholder, after Rupert Murdoch, has financial links to the "Ground Zero mosque" will be seen as ironic by critics of the news network, who have watched with chagrin as the network's talking heads attempt to link the mosque to radical Islamism.

News Corp’s number-two shareholder funded ‘terror mosque’ planner
Indeed, as none other than Rupert Murdoch's New York Post reported last May, the Kingdom Foundation, al-Waleed's personal charity, has donated a total of $305,000 to Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow, a leadership and networking project sponsored jointly by two of Rauf's organizations, the American Society for Muslim Advancement and the Cordoba Initiative. Al-Waleed owns a 7 percent, $2.3 billion stake in News Corporation. Likewise, News Corporation owns a 9 percent, $70 million stake — purchased in February — in Rotana, Al-Waleed's Saudi media conglomerate. Put another way: Rupert Murdoch and Fox News are in business, to the tune of billions of dollars, with one of the "Terror Mosque Imam's" principal patrons.

And some comments which are simply incomprehensible:

Wouldn't it be funny being on the O'Reilly show.
I'll take, "Still Opposing" for $5oo, Alex.

7. What does Glen Beck this of his Saudi master? This should be headlines!
Another foray into the brutal butchering of syntax. I'll assume dipshit meant, "What does Glenn Beck *think* of his Saudi master."
*sigh*
I'll guess GB opposes the GZVM regardless of who owns stock in his parent company.
I guess that makes GB more principled in his opposition than it makes you with your cries of racism vs all who dare oppose the project.
And from there it is one big "We gotta get this out there!" circle jerk.
Anyway...it goes on like that.
I'm going to take the RS article at face value and not try to rationalize Murdoch's donations, i.e. he doesn't know where every dime he donates ends it's fungible journey. Screw that, Murdoch knows.
Murdoch is a businessman. He created Fox News because he saw a niche market being unfilled and he gives donations to assorted causes because he either favors them or they are yet another form of investment such as goodwill from a chosen community/networking in-road. Any effort to explain this otherwise would be naive or deliberately self-deluded. It's how the big world works, get used to it.
I don't watch Fox or any other televised news service, so I have no skin in this game.
I don't know if the Saudi prince is just some average run-of-the-mill billionaire or if he sodomizes dead, under-aged harp seals en route to the weekly wife-beatin' and Jew-lynchin' jamboree.
What I do see and know is that anyone who opposed the GZVM was labeled a racist but as soon as it is revealed that a person who supports a peaceful law-abiding political ideology different from leftism is involved in a project the DUmbasses chuck their so-called principled, moral support for the GZVM and want to use opposition to the project to damage Fox even if they have to wallow in racist stereotypes of Arabs to do it.
Dear DUmbasses,
You aren't going to silence Fox nearly as effectively as you are going solidify opposition to the mosque because you are reinforcing the image that Arabs are sneaky and infiltrating our culture in an effort to exert influence.
You aren't peddling your principles, you are pushing what is convenient to your agenda and it is blindingly obvious.
You aren't shaming the opponents of the mosque, you are ensuring the racist label can no longer be used against them because you just showed you were never serious in your application of it from the beginning.
In short: you lose...
...again...
...by your own hand...
...kinda like your sex lives...
...get used to it.
