I never missed Emergency.  I wanted to be Johnny Gage so bad.  So bad, I cracked my head open pretending to be a paramedic.  And then, I had to GO to Emergency.   :lmao:

I didn't want to be Johnny Gage....I wanted Johnny Gage!  :naughty:

Little Fun Fact: Universal City (which includes the Universal Studios lot) is so big, it has it's own L.A. Fire Department squad which is, of course, officially designated as "Squad 51."  :-)

Wasn't the least bit of "white guilt" about it.

I was about 19 when I first saw him....he was hot and sexy!

Now,  he's still hot and sexy..... :naughty:

I watched Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, and Petticoat Junction in real-time, back in the 60's.

Worst part of it all, is the theme songs would get stuck in your head. Then, fast-forward ten years, I am suffering in a LONG line at the grocery story, my mind drifts, and out bursts "Greeeen Acres is the place to be, Faaaarm Livin' is the life for me".

Yes, I got the looks but warned I had the theme from Beverly Hillbillies in the queue.

I watched this show all the time as a kid.  Funny thing just the other day me and my gf were driving back from vacation and I brought this show up.  We were driving late and looking for silly song lyrics to keep our energy up and then I brought up the bit about Mr. Douglas having a specific suit for each farm chore.

That is just the way farming should be.

Well, I'm trying to figure out if I could incorporate a figure much like Mr. Haney from Green Acres into my upcoming novel about the life and loves of Mrs. Alfred Packer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Haney_%28Green_Acres%29
I remember the farm house Haney sold was made out of gofer wood, which was very porous in the summer time and had a key hole to close off the holes in the winter time but it made it nearly impossible to paint the farm house.

I wasn't a huge fan of any of those, mainly because I was subjected to this insidious little form of torture each week...

Well, he did always have pots-n-pans for sale hanging off the side of his "truck".

Think of a six year-old with five dollars in their pocket and the ice cream truck pulls into their own driveway.

10 days from now is the 34th anniversary of her death.  She was 18.

I remember the theme song to Green Acres.
