They don't "believe" in anthropogenic global climate change despite a mountain of scientific, peer-reviewed evidence, but have no problem asserting as fact that President Obama is a foreign born secret Muslim based on little more than the red-crayon scribblings of media half-wits you wouldn't trust around the corner with a burnt-out match.

I'm still trying to get my mind around that one.

In my book, Jimmy Carter is one of the Heroes. As are the majority of those on their sh** list.

My list for Worst American So Far would have Dick Cheney up front and center - for all the death and destruction that his actions and policies - have directly and indirectly been responsible for - not only to his fellow Americans but to the global community. I remain convinced that he was one of those who encouraged Bush I to launch the First Gulf War (not that Bush I needed much encouragement) so he has blood on his hands from that one too.

I can't even imagine what he bases that theory on. But it must be prevalent among the wingnuts.

Does he know that Carter was a graduate of the US Naval Academy (graduating 59th out of a class of 820 - take that John McCain!), served in the US Navy and would have made it his career but for the death of his father when he had to return to Georgia to manage the family business? Unlike Bush II, Carter was successful in his business attempts. I wonder when he had any time - given that his life was transparent and he was living and working where he was well-known - to become a Soviet Agent - especially without anyone in Georgia noticing. It boggles the mind.

I seriously doubt it. I've only spent the last few years reading political blogs, and from what I've seen, all the primitives are able to muster is sheer bitterness and hostility.

Gonna have to work for it to get to 70 here! lookin' like rain, I hope! We could use a little to green my pastures back up. The longer they go green, the longer I don't have to drag bales around!
