There is a "revolution" coming...

It is on the way.

Either you move or you will be run over.

It's not between the worker and the employer. It between the common citizen and his government. It is time to demand more from our government and our representatives.

We want good schools with good education. We want healthcare for all our people. We want a more fair tax code. We want jobs back in this country. We want the bloated military budget cut. We want to save our Social Security system. We will no longer accept bigotry and hatred. We will no longer accept the status quo.

Are you going to join this movement? Or are you just gonna stand there and get run over??

It is coming...

8. First, you believe.

.

#2 You educate.

#3 It takes time.

#4 We agree with our political adversaries that our government needs change. We join them in that cause. We will agree to discuss political differences later. That is the beginning.

#5 We need to look at it as a modern-day constitutional convention.

#6 We can present to our Congress and Senate the laws and amendments that we want passed. If they disagree, then they will be on the list to be replaced in the next election.

#7. Some of the first laws or amendments we will request will include:
public financing of elections,
a flat tax on everyone's FICA taxes,
a progressive income tax,
wages tied to productivity as they were until the late 1970's,
equal rights for everyone,
an end to the wars,
and cuts in the bloated military budget.
and an increase in the tax rate to equal the Reagan tax rates.

#8 That is the procedure that needs to be followed.
:mental:

69. First, revolutions do not "request" but "demand" (how very polite to request, though).

Second, any kind of constitutional convention will result in the Law of Unintended Consequences coming into play where those who do not think things through get bit in the ass--big time.

Elections mean that everybody gets to vote, not just the left or progressives.

Got votes?
Unintended consequences are what happens when the left is in charge like now.  How is that Hopey=Changey working out for you?

How we deal with it is up to us. Whether we believe it or not is up to us. We do not encourage torches and pitchforks. They will not work.

You're right, torches and pitch forks don't work against guns. Which side has the most guns again?

It between the common citizen and his government.

I actually believe this statement to be true. I do in fact, think there is a revolution coming. I believe it will start with the Tea Party. It already has in some respects. However, I believe it is going to be massive at the end of this presidency. If Obama in fact gets a SECOND term, I believe it will go full blown. Maybe into revolt/overthrow mode. Even if he doesn't get a second term, if things keep going the way they're going, I don't think citizenry will stand for it much longer. I hope it stays peaceful, but I don't have any clue whether it will or not.

I do not wish anyone to think me off my rocker, but I have believed something big was coming since the 5th of November when this scumbag took the Presidency. The Kentuck DUmor is wrong, but the statement he made above reigns true. Even an idiot stumbles across the truth once in a great while.

a flat tax on everyone's FICA taxes,
  Wait.  What?

I also agree that it is between the citizen and his government.  Most people believe that the concept of the "consent of the governed" no longer applies.  There was a really good article in AmSpec called "America's Ruling Class."  Link to AmSpec

I could only read in batches, because I would sit there and get angier and angrier as I read.  I highly recommend it.

Only 20% of Americans subscribe to your extreme agenda.

Yes we want good schools, but we also want them to be cost effective for the people actually paying for those schools, and we want Teachers held accountable instead of being able to hide behind the unions, and we're tired of paying for the damn good retirement Teachers get.

We want good healthcare where people have the ability to buy what's best for them and that includes buying over State lines.

We want low Corporate Taxes which then provides jobs.

We want a strong military not a dinky 1.

We need to realize that with the aging baby boomers that something has to be done about Social Security, it's naive to think it's sustainable at this point.

Bigotry and Hatred is just something that's in your little pea-brained head, and the only reason you use those words is because to face reality would mean you having to question everything you believe and spout off about.

Someone who has all these "wants," and yet desires that gov't see to the development, implimentation, and oversight of these "wants" is someone too lazy to participate in a revolution.  Let's see the number of hands of those who want a revolution in order to become slaves to the gov't?  No primitives, you can put your hands down, we already knew you did.  I'm asking normal people, not you.

You idiots try what the kentuck primitive is suggesting, that is trying to have a Nanny State, and you're going to be killed.  I could try and be more tactful in my answer of what will happen to you, but I'm not in the mood.

The hippies have been wanting revolution since the 60's. They are now in a position to bring it on.....but They ain't gonna like it.

I can hear them now, "Can't we talk about this."..."Can't we all just get along".
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Newsflash, numbnuts:

The only things I "want" from government are, in no particular order:

--Stay the **** out of my wallet.  Take only what you NEED in taxes to cover the requirements in Article I, Section 8, and not as much as you can get to give to those who WILL NOT (notice I didn't say CANNOT) do for themselves.
--Stay the **** out of my bedroom, my private life, and my posessions.
--Stay the **** out of my way while I PURSUE the American dream.  I may not achieve it, but that does NOT entitle you to take from someone else to "give" to me or anyone else (see first point.)

Dear DUmmies, notice what I WANT is to be left alone to pursue my life in the manner in which I see fit, so long as it harms nobody else.  Stick to the Constitution, it was written that way for a reason.
“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.”  -Henry Ford
