Anyone else so ready for fall?

I am just so done with summer. I can't take anymore of this heat. It is unreal.

The humidty here in central Ohio has been brutal for the last 2 weeks.

The humidity stinks. Yesterday the actual temp was 100.  But with the humidity, the real feel was 115. Now our fall here in the deep south isn't a "real" fall, but I will take 70 degree weather any ole day. Even 80. Hell, even 90.

Shut up about fall already. Spend a few six month long winters in extreme northwestern Vermont, and you will feel the same.

It's 75 right now but it is getting hotter here. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 81. Next week it is going to get to 90.

I am sure. We don't have a real winter here, but the summer makes up for it tenfold.

I don't mind hot. But by hot, I mean 90-95 real feel. This is just as deadly as your winters.

Well, the same could be said for those of us in this miserable heat. Summers are always hot here. But this year, it has gone to a new level. I was big pregnant in the summer 2 years ago. My baby was born in September, but I am so thankful it wasn't THIS hot then. It was hot. But it was bearable. This is unreal. Just last week a man died from mowing his yard in this heat. Heat strokes aren't anything to mess around with. I am always ready for fall and spring. They are my favorite seasons. Especially fall. The holidays are upon us, and I love love love the holiday season.

Oddly enough, I can say that about many winters here, only vice versa. Last year we had a real winter (at least for the deep south). So I guess payback was a freakin crazy real summer.

At 10pm, it's 81, with a heat index of 86 and 78% humidity.

And it's clear out.

It was clear at this time last night too, but storming at 2, maybe it will tonight too....

October is my favorite month.  I love all the cute Halloween decorations.  :)

I'm sick of using our A/C and the high electricity bills because of it.  Go F yourself, Nevada Power.

Thank God I live here in the Catskill Mtns where we have 4 seasons. I do get sick and tired of 2 of them, summer and winter. I could take fall all year. Salmon and steelhead and deer oh boy!!

Just going into the "dry season" here. Early part of the season the temperature might get as low as 18C normally. Cold snap right now and it's down to a shocking low of 12C at night.

I'm thinking that nature is a sneaky bitch , and is trying to lull us into a false sense of security before serving up a nasty hot season.

Yeah?  You do realize we've had heat indexes over 100 for a whole buttload of days in the last month.

We set some all-time records last month.  Over 98-100, with heat indexes pushing 110-115.

At 6:00 am today, the heat index was already 91.  We are headed for another 106ish day.  That is regular temp, the Heat index has been around 115 for days.  Normal summer here is 16 days over 100, we have already hit 20, and have at minimum 5 more to go.  We are very close to beating the 1980 heat wave record.  I moved here in that heat wave.  Lordy.

Summer in Texas sucks, and always has sucked.

This morning seems to be a repeat of 12 hours ago...82 degrees, with a heat index of 88. humidity is 74%. Up in the 100's for heat index again today. Storms are predicted, but they were yesterday too, all it did was turn into even more of a sauna outside. :(

We have a heat warning again today and an air quality warning...both have been pretty much a daily thing, for days.

A cold front is supposed to be coming through tonight/tomorrow....so instead of upper 90's, it's going to be low to mid 90's.

I'm ready for October.

South Jersey has been hot/humid and sticky this summer (as usual) but not abnormally so.  Last summer was the strange one -- I think we had MAYBE 5 days all summer where it broke the 90 degree mark. It was a very chilly and rainy summer ('09) and then we had the record-breaking buttloads of snow winter '09/'10.  I'll happily take summer weather for a bit longer this year!  Besides, we've been hitting the Shore every weekend for a daytrip, either on the beach or futzing around on the boat and have been lucky to have a seabreeze to keep the heat and the damned green-headed flies away!

Also, the kid's starting high school in Sept which I'm nervous about :mental: even though he's not!!

We had the same type summer last year! We didn't get the snow over the winter...only a couple of days, and it was usually melted down by end of the day, but we did have really cold temperatures.

Last time we had a beastly hot summer, we had a lot of snow in the winter. Hard tellin' what this winter will bring.

We are in a valley between the Smokies and the Cumberlands....even the meteorologists can't predict are weather very well....something the smart ones acknowledge.
