Do we have any Spanish speakers here?
« on: August 08, 2010, 04:11:50 PM »
http://www.elmundo.es/elmundo/2010/08/06/andalucia_malaga/1281082124.html

The last paragraph supposedly says Michelle Obama is holding meetings on her Spanish "vacation" with Saudi officials.

I would like to confirm its says this and find out if the site is a legit news site.

If true it explains why the liberal media is focusing on the extravagant expenses, and not what she is doing in Spain.

Mods, if this doesn't pan out, would you please delete this post?

Google translator says:

Quote
Several Arab royal families also spend their summers in Marbella for many years. Thus, there will be a meeting between Michelle Obama and Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, governor of Riyadh and brother of the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, while another meeting is shuffled from the first lady with the owner of Málaga CF, billionaire businessman, son of Qatar's Interior Minister and member of the Qatari royal family, Abdullah Al Thani.

How about the site, its it a legit news source?
I know a lot of liberal blogs disguise themselves as news sources to present opinion and lies as fact.

According to Wiki, it's the second largest paper in Spain, and one of their "newspapers of record."

Sounds legit to me, if you can trust wiki.

Google translator says:

Now in plain English. She's in Spain to laundry some millions in cash of Muslim money and play bag lady to it back to the U.S. for democrat politicians that are in trouble.... whew what a long run-on sentence, huh.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

OK roughly it says: Various royal houses (ie royal families) have spent their summers in Marbella for many years. There will be a meeting between Michelle Obama and Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, governor of Riyadh and brother of the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, meanwhile another meeting is shuffled(? this is the only translation I can find for 'barajar') ith the first lady with the owner of Málaga CF, billionaire businessman, son of Qatar's Interior Minister and member of the Qatari royal family, Abdullah Al Thani.

So far it seems that El Mundo is the only source of this story though there are other reports of their story.
Quote

At risk of asking a dumb question....why would Michelle be meeting with Saudi Prince and son of the minister of Qatar and a member of the Qatar royal family?

Isn't that well above her "pay grade"?
