When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Have you seen the threads trying to justify Chelsea's wedding costs. I don't begrudge the kid but the expenses are being absolved as good for the local economy.

Which is absolutely true but that's also the exact same economic theory driving supply-side economics. When a DU critic points out the fact the absolvers are endorsing Reagonomics all you hear is, "No I'm not!"
